Simon Belmont DLC character!!!... I can wish right?

I don't think that that's too farfetched. It'd be sweet if they had a character simply named "Belmont" with each member of the family being a different costume.

Yeeeeessssss. I'll take Simon, Trevor, Richter, Christopher, and Leon pleez. Reinhardt too, though doesn't have the Belmont name. Throw in Sonia if Konami isn't hellbent on her not being part of the timeline (if that matters for this game).

Well, now that I've seen the entire video and know that they plan to add more characters than the demo and some are coming as DLC, I'm sure it will be from Castlevania (she worked on Twin Bee too, but if they choose Twin Bee it will be a troll move), OMG its happening! :D

Well, I never imagined that Megaman would appear in a Smash Bros. game, so a Belmont is quite possible, I believe.

See, if Capcom does not have many interest in his former star, then Konami should "loan" one of his former main names...

...all of this, is Yamane-sama is composing a CV music for the game.

Yamane has left konami some time ago & is no longer affiliated with them, she is freelance

nintendo has already hinted that theres a good possibility that Snake would return as DLC, each "outside" company will only have 1 representative character (namco: pacman, sega: sonic, konami:snake)

therefore, no belmonts are gonna be in smash, sorry to burst every1s bubble

its more likely we'll get some trophies of Belmonts or CV characters instead. its also more likely we'll get chocobo or mog from squarenix before simon belmont from konami

Snake again? Is he really the most famous character from Konami in the present?

It seems so... (read this in Alucard“s SoTN PSX voice).

I've thought this exact thing but I'll still be happy with Simon. DLC seems to be a thing because I just watched a video showing off Mewtwo.

I love CV but Snake was my main in Brawl. I want him back in so bad!!!

There was this PSP homebrew game that was basically a Mugen version of Smash, and they had a lot of characters you could add to it. CVIV Simon was one of them! I think a Belmont in Smash would be crazy. The whip would give them such great range on their normals, I bet he'd be a great character.

It means she worked on the soundtrack along with other composers.

Just saw that, it's awesome! I wonder which track she arranged! :) Maybe there's a CV track like the GS one from Brawl.

This is exciting!
Any Castlevania character would be great.
Even if Yamane is a freelance musician, it does not mean she can't compose Castlevania tunes.

Imagine the irony of this thread if we got Alucard DLC instead of any Belmonts.

Then Nintendo must have noticed the handiwork of Jorge.

Honestly I'd be pretty upset. I think he's more suited for an assist trophy.

Perhaps the series' most popular character, more suited for an assist trophy?

Many different composers from different companies with different backgrounds and work in different franchises have composed for Brawl and Smash4. It doesn't mean the characters tangentially associated are then now getting in.

Even so, there is a possibility ;)

Also, crisis, we dont have sure if Snake will return *yet*, I can completely see a CV character coming for Smash, since they would promote new Virtual Console GBA titles, while there is none for Metal Gear IIRC.

We are only dreaming here, but the chances are there.

Most likely CV characters are: Simon, Soma or MAYBE Alucard. I have absolutely no idea why I said Soma but he's been in two games for Nintendo handhelds in the past 10 years or so AND Aria of Sorrow is coming to (or was already released) for the WiiU VC. Alucard has no real connection to Nintendo unless they're going for his Dracula's Curse look or Mirror of Fate look. Yes, his SotN look was an unlockable in Dawn of Sorrow but it's really not the same IMO.

But who knows.

I wonder what the stage would look like? Castle Keep?

Well known composers are usually picked up for the smash games regardless if the games they're known for are included or not. Yuzo Koshiro did the hyrule theme for the last one, so it's likely that Yamane will just arrange some non-CV tune.

Still nope. Only one character per third party publisher, which Snake takes that spot. What's more is the leak from long ago which had the whole roster confirmed, and a bunch of other stuff that ended up being spot on said Mewtwo was going to be DLC. That's now confirmed yet again. Guess what was also mentioned? Solid Snake DLC.

Sorry for crushing your hopes and dreams.

I've not known that Snake was confirmed until now.

I got excited when I saw her name too, but she's most likely just helping with tracks. There are a lot of famous composers on the roster for the soundtrack, the direct even said it cost more money to employ them than to make the actual game.

We all know Snake is coming back, I liked using him in Brawl but it would have been nice to see Konami give their other popular IP a shot in Smash. Castlevania has a more important history with Nintendo, but in the end it's all up to Sakurai.

I liked using Snake in Brawl but if he returns I hope they keep David Hayter as the voice and not Sutherland

It's not really. Nintendo can reject the idea, but they do NOT ask other companies. Other companies must make their own proposal to Nintendo for consideration.

I think by default Simon deserves it. Not only was he the first(game-wise), he probably has the most appearances on Nintendo consoles. More deserving than Trevor, Richter and Christopher, and Leon, well, he was never on a Nintendo console at all. At the least, Solid Snake(even though I still think CV's more deserving a game to be featured than Metal Gear) at least has roots in the NES and Twin Snakes WAS released on Gamecube.

Do we know if Yamane's role has anything to do with CV specifically, or is it the usual, "hire a mess load of awesome Japanese composers", which Smash Bros been known for doing? I know Uematsu composed for Smash Bros before, and that didn't mean they included a Final Fantasy character(though if they did, in the future, like include classic FF Fighter, Onion Knight or Mog, that would SOOOO fuckin ROCK... just no Cloud... FFVII has yet to appear on a Nintendo console).

Sheepy and my other friends told me on friday I thought they were trolling. I watched the 50 facts and I looked on the site and low and behold

http://www.smashbros.com/us/music/ (http://www.smashbros.com/us/music/)

Musicians who worked on new arrangements for Wii U version
......
Michiru Yamane   Castlevania series
Detana!! TwinBee

This I hope is not the final time I see the words Castlevania and smash together,

I hope Sakurai has been reading my posts for the last year or so he already hurt me with Takamaru being an assist and I don't have a Lilina trophy  :'( also I still have hope for a golden sun character being playable since Issac is not an assist trophy from my understanding.

Perhaps the series' most popular character, more suited for an assist trophy?

This sentence. Alucard in place over a Belmont... The thought ...That's what I get from this... I'm not going to think about it -_-'

This. I'd really love Simon especially because nearly half of all the Castlevania games are on Nintendo consoles, but I don't expect it to happen at all. If anyone from Konami's in it'll likely be Snake again, because Hideo Kojima.

Since we're talking about Hideo, its better Snake than Gabriel :P

You are completely missing the most important fact here:

Koji Hayama   Cho Aniki
Ape Escape 2

Yes! Cho Aniki! Samson and Adon in Smash Bros!

Wait, Ape Escape?!! Imagine it would be mind blowing to see a character from Sony on a Nintendo game nowadays? (I know, it will not happen)
It would be like Sonic appearing on Nintendo when Sega still was on the console market xD

At 1:03 you can see that Michiru Yamane did at least one remix, and it seems to be from Zelda Ocarina of Time. Too bad he doesn't play that song in the video.  :(

Why is the video not showing?

I feel so good for being on a cv site with a fire emblem icon right now  8)
