Wind Waker's great, most Zelda games are. But nothing can stand up to Link to the Past!
-
I was playing secret of mana earlier... started playing again after leaving it for ages at the bit where you find dyluck and fight the wall.
-
I'm in a hardcore Silent Hill mood lately. Too bad I don't have the latest one, SH:Origins, but at least I can catch a ride to my cousin/best friend's house to play it from time to time. Nothing like smashing a filing cabinet over some horrid hellbeasts' head.

Sadly, no trace of them was ever found....
-
Is this top 10 favorites or the ten best games ever? There's a huge difference.
-
top ten best, but since it'd be an opinion anyway, it'd be your top ten, which would be your top ten favorite.
Thats how I interpreted it.
-
Darn you and your impossible task!1!@1on3!
1. Vandal Hearts II
2. Legend of Dragoon
3. Skies of Arcadia Legends

Just exchange Metroid for Harvest Moon, add some Street Fighter, and I'll share his list.
-
I agree with street fighter but not for the harvest moon instead of metroid.
-
damn a top ten?
hmm, ok I'll add some games but dunno about the order yet:
Dukenukem3D
DeusEx
Command&conquer
Half-Life
Dracula X/Rondo
Super Castlevania 4
Warcraft 2
seriously I dunno, I really need to think hard about this one.
-
1) Castlevania 3 - Overall best presentation, best difficulty and many memorable characters to play as.
2) Zelda - A link to the past (gets the zelda spot cuz of length, story and the variable difficulty)
3) Mario Bros. 3 (All releases)
4) Ninja Gaiden Nes version (feels like an interactive film)
5) Nes Metroid - hard and well balanced with the varia suit option as a handicap instead of a necessity.
6) FF VII - Best one, but the main boss should be hard like the first.
7) Onimusha 2 - Amazing 3d adventure, love the gift system and the difficulty was balanced amazingly well.
8) Megaman 2 - best megaman with the most variety in weapons and the ability to alter the difficulty to suit the player.
9) Grand Theft Auto Vice City - best GTA so far with the highest replayability and the addition of rock station was nice.
10) Nes Super Contra - best Contra so far (though I've yet to finish 4 due to time restraints so this one may change)
Runner up - Space Invaders (all releases). Gotta love vaporizing scores of aliens with one ship. ;D
-
VERY tough. Hmm...
1.Castlevania 64/Legacy Of Darkness
2.Castlevania IV
3.Dracula X Chronicles
4.Castlevania III
5.Street Fighter II and its sequels
6.Silent Hill 2
7.Warcraft 3
8.Devil May Cry 3
9.Metroid Prime Hunters (I love it and I normally hate FPS games)
10.Gran Turismo 2
-
In random order; choosing ten is hard enough.
Civilization
panel de pon
Castlevania- Symphony of the Night
Warioware Twisted
pro evolution soccer
Super Mario World
Final Fantasy 6
Chrono Trigger
A Link to the past
Super Metroid
-

My #1 will always be Yoshi's Island. ALWAYS. Most perfect game ever. Beyond that, the list doesn't exactly have an order, but I'll try.
1. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island
2. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest
3. Donkey Kong Country
4. Super Metroid
5. Super Castlevania IV
6. Demon's Crest
7. Cybernator

Contra III: The Alien Wars
Mega Man 2
Splatterhouse (arcade)
Metal Gear Solid
Ninja Gaiden I and II
and some others. :o
-
Ninja Gaiden I and II
I loved how ninja gaiden II expanded on the story, I just wish the music was better it was such a let down compared to the phenomenal tracks in the first one. I still find myself humming some of them from time to time. The game play and length are there the music though really lessens the experience for me.
-
I dig the music in NGII. Not as awesome as the first game's, but still really rad.
By the way, I'd like to add Snatcher to my list. :o Just played through it for the first time and freakin' adore it.
-
The order? Not so sure. My list? Pretty good idea. This is in no particular order:
LoZ: Ocarina of Time
CV: SotN
Bomberman Hero
Super Mario Bros. 3
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
LoZ: A link to the Past
The Godfather Blackhand Edition
Resident Evil 4
Devil May Cry
CV: AoS
-
Dizzamn, RE4 and Zelda: OOT belong somewhere in my list too. Not top ten, but honorable mentions, or in a top 25.
Let's face it, there's too much awesome stuff in any realm to create a proper, satisfactory top ten. :o

5. Brave Fencer Musashiden
6. Warcraft 3
7. Diablo II
8. Monster Rancher 2
