Title: Help finding a music info
Post by: Lelygax on November 09, 2014, 05:30:09 AM
Someone knows the name of this music and who remixed it, a link to a "official" video or download would be good too.
Its starts as a Bloody Tears remix but then gets different, almost like a Dawn of Sorrow-esque music, I've heard that before on Operation Akumajo video too.

Castlevania Sonata Of BlooD - fangame Trailer 2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_WVJFlSRRKA#)

Any info is welcome.

edit: This one would be good too, IIRC its from a official album, but I only remember that.

I *think* it's one of Geoffrey Gunn's pieces, but I'm not sure. Jorge would know, probably.

It certainly sounds like one of Geoffrey's. I've got a decent amount of his stuff, as well as a ton of CV music, on my desktop PC, I'll check through those once I'm off work. If I find anything I'll let you know.

They both look pretty cool too.  The first seems like it could be a really interesting way to play a CV game, as different a presentation as it would be.  The text said it was cancelled though...what about the second?  ...looks like it was basically cancelled too?

These 2 games are cancelled years ago. Someone knows in which album I can find this Simon Theme remix on the second video? The first was indeed right, thanks again since this search even made me update my thread about OSTs and fan albums :P

And yes, I canceled Bloodstorm. I was going through a period of unemployment during Bloodletting's development, and shortly after I started Bloodstorm my free time dwindled so I canceled it. Didn't feel like doing a fan game anymore and would have preferred a more original game of my own. Stay tuned.

That's a shame  :(

I was really looking forward to playing a completed Bloodletting and especially Bloodstorm! Almost never has there been a CV fan game featuring a female Belmont so it would have been a very rare treat indeed.

Wow, good to see you here piscesdreams, I've never meant to disturb your slumber though xD

Thanks, since I've searched these last days for it on Mr P's site and was already losing hope, it seems that I forgot to check some OSTs and didnt found out that they had exclusive remixes, like this X68000 one on this page:

It hasnt been 100 years that I have been away but it certainly feels like it. This was one of my all time favorite versions of Simons theme.

For those who are interested, I believe I still have the unfinished first level for any who wanted to play Bloodstorm. Some enemies were implemented, some were not. Basically the video you see is where it was at when I dropped the project.

To stay on topic of the music, the Cybergoth arrange of Revenge in the music folder was by far my fave of all the music that was to be used for

You've chosen a lot of good music there, Lost Painting remix really impressed me. You still remember who did all of these? Im asking you that because maybe I can find even more gems made by those people :)

About your game, I always wanted to see these other areas, now that became a reality, thanks! I've not beat the first level yet because this boss is really hard (it looked so easy in your video lol)

Thanks for the kind words.

The Lost Painting arrangement was done by Christopher Romero. Not sure if I have heard any other works by him, but here you go.

Found that he did more 2 remixes here: http://www.castlevaniadungeon.net/Media/sotn.html (http://www.castlevaniadungeon.net/Media/sotn.html)

1st - We have remixes on the dungeons site too? LOL
2nd - Wow at finding it below my nose.

edit:
3rd - No! These links are broken :-\

You can still hear these musics made by him here:
