Drac's Castle has been done to death and I think it would be cool if it took place between LOI and CIII chronicling the belmonts gaining they're godlike powers and going after other forces of darkness in they're eternal hunt to destroy the night. I think it'd also be cool if you got to use other weapons like in SOTN and COM in conjunction with the traditional whip.
-
dun dun dun! Alucard in Japan! Where he got his Arikado name!
-
I think it should be between Lament and Drac's Curse. They've got a lot of time in there. I think it would be cool to see Trevor's father as playable. I imagine a burly man, with a big beard, someone who could train a Belmont as great as Trevor. Then also, it would officially clear the Sonia/ Alucard crap. Hell, even if they keep Sonia as his mother, just as long as Legends doesn't exist.

I would like to fight Dracula again in 1897.

A sequel starring Soleil/Soleiyu, dammit!

That would be nice!

Yeah, something that takes place after LoI. And I think it's likely IGA will do just that. Unless he's going for the 1999 game already but I doubt it.
I also wanna play as Soleiyu. He needs his own game. Does anyone know what IGA says about Christopher Belmont and his son? I recently beat PoR and noticed Christopher isn't in the "Greatest five" dual crush move. Makes me wonder...
Also, I wanna go up against Elisabeth Bartley once more.. Maybe she had a daughter who must fight her mother or something clich
-
I don't think IGA has said much of anything about Chris or his son. I know the two Gameboy games are still in the official timeline, so maybe it just hasn't occurred to him yet.
If they were to do another Christopher game, I'd like to see a Dracula Densetsu Chronicles of sorts, like a complete overhaul of Adventure and Belmont's Revenge for the DS.

I would like to see either the 1999 game or a game that takes place after DoS (just to see what happens to soma next).
-
I have a really big need for some Castlevania news!!!! It was said that the new DS game will be announced in Famitsu magazine in December, but that didn`t happen. And it is almost April 2008. I just want the title, synopsis a few screens or a trailer and release date that it is planned for. I need some news, now!
I don`t have any wishes for the game, I just want it to be very good, to have some new monsters, inteligently placed in different areas, and not just randomly.
I would play anything: 1999 game, another Soma game (with new very different plot) or something completely new.
Of areas I`d like some outside places first: woods with naked trees, swamp and underground cemetary for example. I`d like a Castle, but with a very different design, some twists.
I`d like to see much blood in the Castle, and I hope for Yamane`s music. Some remixes are always welcome. I want a darker game, not very colorful. I don`t want any funny dialogue or fuc***g anime all-happy characters or I will throw up. We need a mature game, not for kids.
I`d like the game to be very high quality game, a really good one - even if it is sacrificed in lenght/quantity of useless items etc. I hope they invest all the time necessary to make the game one of the best.

The same wants almost everyone in here but as much new info you have, that much info has everyone else.
-
The further away the game is from the modern times, the better. So, somewhere before cv3. Hell, he should make a game in 1445-1455 time frame to overwrite legends. :P
As for where, where else? In transylvania. Or alternatively all around Europe, having the Belmonts chase his shadow as he travels, eating other vampires' souls and converting them to power like he did to Walter.

for me a next game doesn't have to mean a whole new game. How about we re-re-revisit simon on his adventures?gh this time with the memory available on disk we could flesh out the graphics/size of the levels/story. Imagine huge levels withtons of npc interaction, instead of " simon goes and kicks draculas ass " we could have a story of ahero rescuing people along the way, encounters with death and talks with some bosses and people trapped in the castle... I think it would be a nice idea for the main character to be able to mount and dismount a horse too to traverse the countryside. a little like epona or something only in 2 sidescrollingness

Except for the horse thing which I don't particularly care for, it would make it feel to much like zelda, isn't that what you basically do in SQ?
I don't know if I like the idea of having another CV1 remake as they've already done that with the PS1 chronicles game. The only reason I would even be for a remake at all would be to have a game that's long like Chronicles and not have the horrendous feminin pink hair simon. Other than the pink hair simon I think chronicles is a good updated CV1 and any longer might actually be too long.

Eh I'm getting tired of the whole game taking place in the castle though. I think the next one should be mainly outside like COD. That's one thing I love about the game, you get a real multitude of environments and really get to explore ancient romania finally hacking your way to drac's castle which is about the size of a normal castle and not uber large. (though that doesn't mean the castle being big is a bad thing, not trying to make that out to be a negative or anything). I'd really like another game like that right now as just about every title released in the last 10 years has taken place entirely in the castle and I think it'd be cool if we got a change for the next one like COD.

It has to be the 1999 battle in Drac's castle.
its about time they finally make a game based on Julius's
legendary battle and the Belmonts return to power.
-
Didn't iga said at one point that the 1999 game will be the last game though?

Wasn't chronicles more of a port of the x86000 game though? rather than a remake, albeit with a few bells and whistle for arrange mode?

I don't remember him saying, but I doubt there is gonna be a 'last game' for some time. I guess maybe before he drops the series and leaves it for some one else he'll do it. That'd b kind of cool. I'm in no rush for that just yet anyway.

I didn't see anything wrong with Simon. And when has any Castlevania character of late been manly?
And yeah, Chronicles wasn't CV1. AKX68K had a few of the same levels based off CV1's and a portion of the final level from Super Castlevania, but that's where it ends.

Simon appearing as anything other than a generic Conan is a dangerous and radical thought.

All the recent belmonts post chronicles have been at least somewhat manly. You can tell what they're sex is. Simon in chronicles looks like a girl and the pink hair don't help. It was a bad choice on iga's part. I think the new Ralph/Trevor in Cod looks very manly and tough. Leon looks good too in LoI. Theye're clothing choices are distinctly male and although they have longer hair it's done more for the time period and lack of a barber probably than the characters personal choice. Look at Julius in the sorrow games. He looks very manly. No confusion there. I think Iga learned from his mistake with chronicles and I don't even know if he is happy with simon's appearance in the remade game.

Yeah it is all the Akumajou Dracula games are castlevania 1. Chronicles was a remake of Akumajou Dracula X68000 which chronologically still puts it as castlevania one.

Now that's not what I was saying at all man. I don't care what they make simon look like as long as it looks good. c'mon pink hair and girlish features just ain't cool.

Heh, I was just kidding. SCIV Simon is win, personally.

Oh man I gotta stop taking some of these posts so literally. ;D

Well, that hope is a bit cliche. I would prefer it to be set after the year 2800 around the time of World War 37. Dracula raised the army of hell and now all of the remaining humans after his first massive onslaught have teamed up to fight him. So now, some futuristic Belmont, a man in the U.S. army, must head into Dracs castle to destroy him and end all the pain and suffering.

Konami could pull a MoonRaker and set it in space.....Space Zombies and Skelenauts!

Castlevania: Cacophony of Cassette Tapes - As Ernst Belmont in 1992, you must crack down on Dracula's VCR piracy ring.
