Hello everyone, I've been trying to do the divekick launch glitch in Harmony of Dissonance using Maxim, but can rarely get it right. I know theoretically when you divekick against things like candles you get an acceleration against the divekick direction, and you expand the acceleration window by doing a normal attack. What I can't get is the timing of that normal attack. I've been practicing for like a week and had some random success, but still cannot figure out the right timing (I even got more "Kishinryuu Ougi"s by accident than the glitch >:()
So anyone know the timing of the execution, hopefully by the precision of frames? I know I as a human being cannot execute by frames, but at least I'll get a direction. Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

I can't even get Juste's higher-than-normal backwards jump to work.
You know, the one where you jump after backdashing off of a platform? That one.
I know I'm not much help, but at least I feel your pain!

;D Thanks for replying!
Do you mean this one in the attachment?
This one I might be able to help a little because I am relatively confident of this one.
Take when you're facing right for example: hold right and jump to the exact edge of a platform, when you land walk to the right of the platform by not letting go of the right direction for like one imperceptablly brief moment, the do [releasing right, backdashing out of the platform] in one smooth sequence and it should be able to work.
I know mine is not the only (and probably not even the best) way to do this, but it always has had a decent success rate on me, so I hope it might be of help to you as well ;D
And as for the dvkic glitch, I resorted to Niconico videos after posting the thread and found out the answer to my question is one frame :o Guess it really is hard to be performed in non-TAS environments ???

I used to practice this off of candles. Try turning your sound up high and listen for the highest point of a candle breaking noise. Kinda hard to explain rather than show but if you can get the timing down with a sound, it should help you judge when to swing. Let me know what you find out from this.

From the short while of practice after reading your post, I currently cannot get a significant increase of success rate, but I'll keep on practising. Using sound as an indicator is a brilliant brilliant way, thank you ;D
