A member of TheShizz (a VGM/remix community) took both NA and JP versions of CV3 and created a new version of the soundtrack. It sounds really nice.

Wow! A labor of love it is! Having both Jp and Eng music mixed in together gives these tune a more complete feel then listening to them normally. It's almost as if they were made for each other... Yes, this sounds cheesy and romantic so don't judge me! lol, I kid.

Pretty cool.

Eric Roman did this a while back.
But I don't think he shared it the way this guy shared it so, big props for a more complete and shareable project.

Is his work essentially the same? I'd like to hear some :)
On another note.
I would like to download the music this guy had mixed together, however you have to buy it. Is he allowed to do that? This is music that is copy-written and owned by Konami. Does he have some sort of contract with the company that would allow him to do this?

The Bandcamp download is pay-what-you-want. You could give $0 and get lossless files or MP3s.

As AF said, you can put "0" and DL it for free. As for the copyright issue, I don't know if he contacted Konami or not.

Just to give you a different take on these songs check out this channel if you wish

I have to say the Shizz did a much better job than I did smoothing out the sounds when I tried a similar project.
The ones on the second channel do not have the extra sounds that the Famicom produces via the VRC6 chip.
I wanted to try a different approach and see how the US version would sound with the import's harder, heavier drums.
Mine were done using only NES hardware friendly sound channels but I did not use the CVII drum or noise samples only the
Japanese port. Hope you like them as well.
Please excuse the crudity of my channel.

Your channel doesn't have what we want arranged into a nice easy playlist.
Your savage man, you.

Freaking awesome!!!!!

I like how some of the lower end sounds are brought to the forefront of Kirby Pufocia's mix. Love me some bass.
I haven't been able to delve too deeply into it yet, but there are some moments where I almost wish the Japanese drums were used. I always thought thems was goods soundinz.

This is some great stuff. I agree with how the bass sounds come out in some of the songs. Real nice!
