What are we going to do?
I suggest making a Castlevania character look like it's from another videogame.

I suggested something like that before and nobody went for it.
We need these sprite contests to challenge people outside of their comfort zones. Larger scales, hand drawn, there are so many options!
It would be nice to see a challenge force the artists away from the rondo/SOTN style for a change.

- A Streetfighter version of any Castlevania(or self imagined) character?
- Think up an original and practical (game wise) transformation for Alucard/Dracula and sprite it. (challange mode: sprite the entire transformation animation)
- Create an original enemy sprite
- Sprite a boss room

I agree with this. And Don can make a street fighter version. haha
If no one objects, the theme would be as what Kokushibyō suggested.
@Don: I suggested the enemy sprite before but no one wanted it. I'll keep that in mind along with the candelabras. The boss room idea is great too, but we might be pressed for time, and some person might have the nerve to steal it.

Each idea sounds cool in its own way. Perhaps something fitting for April Fool's day? Maybe design a "goofy" enemy or character, like Yorick, the Killer Clown, the suicidal skeletons from CotM, or Pumpkin?

Here's an idea, which plays in well with Nagumo's etymology thread.
Take a monster, demon, or deity from any lore, and sprite it. Style free-for-all, the only limit is that the chosen creature cannot be in the series already.

I promise that, if this is chosen, I'll sprite it in another format that is not Rondo's / SotN's, even though they are my tool of trade.
