Well, I've never played a Metal Gear game, at least not for very long. But this is pretty big news for people keeping tabs on the series and Konami overall. http://gematsu.com/2015/07/solid-snake-japanese-voice-actor-kojima-productions-disbanded (http://gematsu.com/2015/07/solid-snake-japanese-voice-actor-kojima-productions-disbanded)

Poor Kojima :/

Maybe he will put stuff in that references him leaving or something. Heck, we already saved Kojima in that Ground Zeroes side mission, maybe he actually plays a part in the game...?
Well he was in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. He voiced god when you encountered Psycho Mantis after beating Screaming Mantis (his latest puppet).

More proof aside from the fact that Konami took out the Kojima Prod. site from their pages.

Saddened news, but I honestly feel Kojima Productions wouldn't be Kojima Productions without the man himself. I'm interested to see if he does anything now that he's not with Konami anymore. If he's going to start his own studio, or join another one, or even if he's going to do something else entirely.
I'd love to see him start writing and directing films. That would be awesome.

If he wanted to I think Kojima could restart Kojima Productions (Lt) only this time he would be in complete control. Like IGA he could make the games he wants without pressure from a bunch of corporate heads leaning over his shoulder.

There's actually no legal stop to prevent him from doing so. He'd never get to make a new Metal Gear, but that sounds like something he wants to move past anyway.
I know he didn't solely make Republique, but that game was amazing, and he did have input on it. More like that would be awesome.
