Title: Dark subject (rumors and a friend that passed away)
Post by: Belmont legacy on September 07, 2015, 02:08:25 AM
I recently parted from 2 people whom I thought were friends however they turned out to be as 2 faced as they come. Well a friend of mine passed away about a year ago and rumors got back to his mom that I thought his death was humorous from the 2 faced friends and now she has blocked me on fb and now believes the rumor is true and it'll probably get back to my friends which will in turn make me look like a heartless asshole. Any advice??

I'll be really straightfoward:

If she did not give you a single droplet of doubt, and asked you why did you find it "humorous" so you could explain yourself, then she's well served with the two-faces, and they'll bite her eventually for this misstep. This is the price to pay when one is hastly making assumptions and not listening to both sides of the story.

Move on, and keep the memory of your friend with you. When asked, be honest about it. Do your thing, and they'll do theirs.

This kinda situation is VERY complicated, because all attempts to get to her right now will be (mostly) fruitless.

And this is why I love this community here. I can find some very helpful advice from some real people. What I really need to do is stop dwelling on it and not use Facebook as much as I do. I've noticed that it's really more trouble than anything. I mean if she does go and tell my friends things then I will be straight forward and tell them just as I told her "no. It's not funny in the least bit. Noones death is humorous. I still think about that kid and love him." I need to focus more on myself. Get my life in order.

What plot said.

The main thing here is not to act any differently. YOU know how you feel about it, and deviating to try and disprove something you already know to be false just looks suspicious.

I'd say to just let it roll right off of you and not to get involved. It's social media drama by attention scavengers, and any sort of response will just give them more ammunition. Don't participate, then they get more desperate to try and goad you into involvement, and after so long their tactics display just who they are and what they're really trying to do.

Don't sweat it. It's bullshit and you know it is, so don't let it get to you.

Fb is horseshit. Block the snakes and move on with your life.
You have absolutely zero control over what other people do, whether those people are trying to snake you or whether they believe what other people say about you.

Now this is nothing against you and take with a grain of salt but 1 thing I've learned in life is:

If someone is so quick to believe something negative about another person so easily, then either their character is weak OR their mind was already made up about that person prior to that instance.

It happens to the best of us, you know in your heart you did right.

Two-faced people are just a waste of skin. You don't need that kind of riff-raff in your life. Let them f**k themselves over. You know in your heart that you are right and so does your no deceased friend. Keep the memory true and discard all the rest. I've dealt with plenty of two-faced people growing up in school and I'd like nothing more then to take them into a back alley and cap 'em. Believe me I feel for you in regards to those kinds of people.

Thank you all so much! I really appreciate all this support you've given. I wish there was a way to show my gratitude besides just thanking you. You guys are truly awesome. I'm gonna take your guys advice. I've learned my lesson and I have better things to do in my life than to let them try and make it crap. I'm not gonna let someone piss on me and the only life I was given. I'm gonna blank them out and keep moving forward. I have better things to do than waste my time on people who aren't just 2 faced but also stuck in highschool still, obviously.

And that my friend is why I am still not on FB.
Yeah, ignore the 2 faced idiots. They don't deserve the time and attention.

You're right. I'm gonna stop getting on there as much and let them have their internet glory while I get my life back together.

Seriously you're welcome and you don't need to. :)
I always like to believe that the Castlevania community is all about justice, just like the way the Belmonts fight against Dracula - we fight our own demons when they resurrect. (even be it an incomplete resurrection  :P)
