I'm working on building a custom gaming rig (or buying an MSI Phantom laptop, whichever I ultimately judge to produce the best results), and would love to run the part list I currently have by y'all. See if you spot something I might have missed. It's a chunk of cash to build it, so I want to make sure I get this list RIGHT.
Be amazing and find that I did this perfectly for realsies. (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/sVvFvK)
But let me know if you spot something out of sorts.

Overclocking the CPU? if not, Liquid cooling is kinda not needed
Speaking of Cooling, I'd opt for a STRIX 980 ti

I wanted to keep overclocking an option, yes.
I'd have gone for the STRIX, but it didn't have that combination of low price, performance, and good ratings that I was looking for. I tried to crank the price as low as I could on most components while keeping 4 or 5 star ratings (with good numbers of ratings, not just a few people rating a thing).

Personally I would never overclock the CPU even if you have the best coolent system for it. You never knew when it could fail on you and then you'd have to spend just that much more on a brand new CPU.

Honestly, while I do want to leave a window open for Overclocking, mostly the liquid cooling just planning for a worst-case scenario. I've adjusted the list a tiny bit, but it's functionally the same as what I have posted here.
Does the partlist check out, or should I do some more work on it?
