From what I've read on the internet lately, there's a new Castlevania movie being made, and it's being directed by Sylvain White, the director of "Stomp The Yard". I hope he does it right, and I hope he plays SOTN all the way through to get an idea of what this movie should feel like when it's done. If they capture the atmosphere correctly, this could be a great movie. What do other Castlevania fans think?

old news
like, over a year old or so. except back then anderson was directing it
-
When will they share with us new info about this damned movie...? :( >:(
-
It'll probably be a direct-to-DVD thing anyway
-
Once Sylvian White signed on to direct, I heard the final battle was changed to a dance off.
-
Hey, at least now we know it'll have better fight choreography then if Anderson had directed it.

Suposably Sylvain is a BIG Castlevania fan, and he's talked to IGA about the movie.

I wasn't going to see the movie anyway, but I will if it turns out to be hilariously bad, like the Street Fighter movie.
C'mon, Sylvian! Make our dreams come true!
-
who do they always have to pick games with the minimal amount of storyline?
ok castlevania is probably one of the better choices but comeon guys it's basically "bad guy is doing evil, lone vampire hunter goes to castle and whoops him killing a few monsters on the way "... mgs or a zelda, half life or system shock would be nice.
Personally i would love to see command and conquer turned into a movie trillogy

I've never seen Stomp the Yard, I don't care to, it's not my cup of tea. I here its not terrible if thats your thing.
So, what I think about Sylvain White, is that even though that movie may not be great, he might still be a decent director, he might be able to pull Castlevania off, who knows. I want to see it regardless, and I'm really not going to judge it until we see a trailer for it.

If that's true, the movie can't be THAT bad. I'm looking forward to it, to do waht I always do when watching a video game movie: laugh my ass off at all the game references embedded.
