I've been a right asshole of late.
I'm not entirely certain why.
But my temper definitely got the better of me, and I dragged down the forum's cheerful air.
It's not something I'm proud of, and while I was originally just going to keep this apology private and focused on a few people, 1) several of those people blocked my PMs, and 2) said block gave me opportunity to reflect and see that honestly, I need to apologize to all of you guys.
While I stand by a lot of what I've said re:The canon is an effin' mess and there's not much point to arguing it one way or the other, I definitely let my emotions get the better of me and I wasn't a model citizen in my arguing.
I definitely needed to be taken down a peg, and I'm glad it was Zangetsu (who, despite our frequent disagreements, I consider a friend) instead of a mod; because that would have ended a lot uglier.
Just so you know, I consider all of you folks my friends, and (at least to me) you proved me right by standing up to me when I wasn't at my best. I definitely shamed myself by being the dick that I was to people who I respect a lot.
I'm not very proud of myself at the moment.
So, thanks for being the bigger people, and for shutting me down when my temper wasn't letting me dial myself down.
You're more awesome than I think any of you get credit for.
Keep being the best damn Castlevania forum out there, and whatever happens over my prior behavior will doubtless run its course.
I just wanted to get this apology out there before anything else went down one way or the other.
[Edit] If someone could kindly convey my appreciation to Zangetsu in particular since I can't PM the awesome bloke, I'd owe you some awesome girl scout cookies.

You seem to misunderstand my point since you are giving a cold response like that. I was trying to cheer you up.
I think I must be more clear so you understand: Its not because we sometimes disagree, that you need to change your tone, but thats okay.

Well, the important thing is that Scholar has apologized, so there's not much more that needs to be said. We understand if your temper has been frayed for whatever reason--it happens to the best of us. Just try not to let it get the best of you (online and offline, for that matter), and learn from your mistakes. That's all we ask :)

You have good points and you seem like a good guy to me.
I'll let you guys in on a secret. This forum is the only form of social media I partake in (excluding YouTube comments). No Facebook, no Twitter, no Instagram. Just CV dungeon.
Why is that? Because I think the people here are terrific (even the ones I often disagree with). This is a sparkling hidden corner of the internet where intelligent, talented, classy people gather.
The proof is right here. Scholar making a thread just to apologize. That's the kind of people you'll find around here.
