I've only played 2 of those, Freedom Planet and Undertale, and they were both alright. Freedom Planet is a great Sonic the Hedgehog pastiche, and it feels a bit like the Sega Saturn Sonic game we never got. Undertale is an RPG influenced by Earthbound with an emphasis on characters/storytelling which rewards non-violence. Heard good things about Odallus, never played it. Not heard much about the other 2.

I'm actually going to get all these games, but in order of poll votes, that being said, Undertale won but Hyper Light Drifter got second.
So, enough dodging spoilers and anything Undertale related, I'm about an hour in.
My opinion so far is that the game is great, BUT I'm refusing to talk about it because the over-appraisal this game already gets is enough, I will say that the game itself is rather clever and the lack of achievements is a good thing.

I've been gifted a copy of HLD (console version, being released in US Summer 2016) which I'm amped to play and I'm also interested in Odallus due to its Castlevania-like nature.
I really must be missing something with Undertale because I'm not finding myself attracted to that game, although the graphics do remind me of Maniac Mansion.
Generally I watch a trailer for a game and that allows me to know if I'm going to like it or not. It's not strictly a graphical thing, it's really more about whether I find the game play and/ or atmosphere engaging.
