One more reason I wish I had a PS4.  Dunno if I'll hold out til I can play a physical copy, or if I'll cave and get a digital version for last gen.

Sweet! Although I wish that they'd go back to the original Shantae art style that was in the first game. It was unique and catchy at the same time. At least now Shantae 4 is getting a physical release. I wished that was the case with Shantae's 2 and 3. I find purely digital media far more fragile then a physical copy. Don't know why that is really...

Same. Although it looks nice and polished I prefer my cute platformers a bit more pixelated/ WonderBoy, this is a bit too Rayman Legends for me.

Apparently Shantae and the Pirate's Curse got a physical release in Japan.  I would love a physical copy of that game...would it be so much costlier for Wayforward to give western audiences a physical copy too?

I agree completely.  Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends both looked great, but I'd take the style of the original Rayman any day.

To be honest, Pirate's Curse is the best in the series for me but it did get me to playing the others.

I really hope Wayforward took some pirate's curse elements into 1/2 genie hero

Oh shit yes! I miss the original Rayman's style. Although maybe what they intended was more like Origins at the time, I didn't like the exaggerated cartooniness of it. Although it did suit a multiplayer context more so as sometimes it could be funny to watch the sprites look like they were goofing off with one another.

Also did anyone notice at the end of completing a stage when the wizard fills his test tube with electoons while sitting on it, it looked like he was having a massive boner.
