Well.....i can't say for sure, but i think that the moon and their words about one or two surprises rings in my head castlevania DS and the next gen console castlevania. What else new game could have relation with the moon and two new releases for this year? Has anyone answer to this?

After a thorough search at the image, i concluded, that you can see two persons on the moon. Look the areas inside the circles.

Well i usually associate a big ass moon with castlevania, so i would guess it would be about that. As for the moon, i can't really figure out what those figures are. It would have been easier to just put a guy with a whip up there...

Sorry to burst your bubble, but swinging the wiimote like a whip would be the lamest mechanic ever.
They could make a standard CV without involving a useless gameplay mechanic, y'know. Even if they did add motion-sensitive controls, it'll probably be very limited and unnecessary (like how they tried the "use character A to help character B proceed" aspect in PoR).

As for the picture, it might have something to do with Castlevania, since we know for certain that at least the 1999 did have something to do with a moon. It's red, which with a game like Castlevania wouldn't surprise me at all.
As for the images, I have no clue what's on the left, but the right looks like a human. Or something. XD

When I take a step back, squint my eyes, the whole red portion of the moon kinda looks like a helmed figure, like Samus or something. Other than that, including the little man who seems to be holding something long, I could possibly see him standing on a cliff, overlooking a crude-looking castle, though I think this is more of my imagination at play.

Whilst this discussion is interesting and all, solar eclipses happen only during a new moon, and lunar eclipses happen only during full moons. That might come as a surprise but think about it, consider the following setups:

These drawings (not to scale of any kind) show the setups for a new, crescent and full moon. It also shows the cone of shadow from both Earth (blue) and Moon (gray). An eclipse happens when the cone of shadow from either body reaches the other body. They are not as frequent because of alignment problems and sometimes because the cone of shadow is not long enough (we call this an annular eclipse). Equating this moon to 1999's solar eclipse is astronomically incorrect.
Now that I am talking about the moon, one thing that bugs me about Castlevania is the inconsistency with the lunar phases. In SoTN for example, Orlox quarters shows a full moon, so does the Tower of Fog, however the castle keep shows a crescent moon.
I'm still kinda of curious about the moon though, and its meaning. So far, I've put the picture in front of a mirror

Kinda looks like a chick or something having been attacked and exploding at the middle. Like they've just been slashed and or cut and blood and such is coming from the middle. And the look on her/his face is surprise.

I think realistically it's a reference to the DS game Moon or to Earthbound, but it could be a strong reference to Castlevania.

As soon as I saw the pic on another website I thought it could be about the 1999 Castlevania, however, it could be a new Harvest Moon, or anything for that matter.

Still, the moon's color might be some indication. Moon's not really portrayed as blood red (well almost blood red here) outside of cv titles too much.

But you have a point in your last point: the image was pretty much just a crater (That ironically looks like people brandishing whips on it. Knew I was looking at that crap too hard. XD) but I suppose the fact that it's red as said still points toward Castlevania.
Cause unless Harvest Moon is about to take a dark turn (like Children of the Corn edition) I couldn't imagine it having a red moon.
I doubt it's Earthbound either but after doing a little research, Azmodan has a good point. This actually might be for the game called 'Moon':

True, but I still doubt it's a clue for the game of the same name.
Your more likely to see said moon in a game like Castlevania, not the actual game of the same title, so to think it has something to do with Castlevania has merit too.
Like the clue will actually have something to with the game, not the name of it. (Hence why it would be odd to see said moon in that game. Cute cows =/= Children of the Corn. XD )
If this was hint for Island of Happiness, that would kinda suck, since there is some pretty good information about the game (if you care enough to look it up, which I'll admit, I don't...) and it's coming out fairly soon. July I believe. That would be a pretty lame 'surprise or two'.

At first, I was going to say it had something to do with Final Fantasy IV, which suposably has one of two moons turning bright red. But, I remember that Nintendo Power already did an article regardin FFIV DS, so what could be new about that?

I believe that is June's issue of Nintendo power. Right above the text, it says July 2008-Vol. 230 and it also says in the text that all this stuff should appear in July's issue. So I doubt it's an April Fool's joke. If it is, it's (since most magazines always come out a month in advance) like two months late.
Since Nintendo Power sends out their issues earlier to subscribers, we should know what the pic is about by the end of this month.

You have to find a picture you want, save it to your computer, then open up the folder you saved it in. Left click the image and select "Open With->(it has a lil triangle thing)" then select interent explorer. Just copy the Url when internet explorer opens up and go to where you can edit your signature, on this site. Click the little box that says image and these thing will appear: (http://). Then, you simply paste the URL you copied in the middle of the two new img things: (http://Your URL goes in here!). Then you just save your profile changes.
And about the moon thing, I'm suddenly seeing things that remind of the new Pit from SSBB and his annoying light-ey arrows. Maybe you'll get your new Kid Icarus game, TLB.

I think it has something to do with Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia which has already been rated by the ESRB on their website for the DS. They haven't officially announced anything about the game except for some leaked screens and rumors that its the 1999 game and will have some special connectivity features with the Wii. Maybe they are gonna release 2 games CV games, the 1 for the DS and 1 for the Wii that will be related. Thats my best guess. As far as the moon goes I think it has something to do with a new CV game. I think the big moon itself is is a giveaway.

I wouldn't be surprised that, if in fact it is a Wii game, it would be a WiiWare game, that OoE would connect to. That way they still may be cranking out the console title on the 360 or PS3

This says to me that the game they're going to announce next month is a third party Wii game.
Could be a Castlevania, who knows. Last time they announced a Castlevania game (PoR) they did kind of the same thing, so who knows.
We'll probably just have to wait and see, because I doubt we're getting anything from that moon. Embarrassed

I can only wonder why they moved Konami Gamer's Day to the middle of May though?
And this will likely answer the question as to if CV Judgment is indeed the name for the Wii title. If so I'm itching to hear the connectivity features between Judgment and Ecclesia.

Also, regarding the IGN announcement and this game called "Skate It", is it REALLY from a famous game franchise? I keep reading it's based on some new game called "Skate", which came out on Xbox a couple years back or something. Is it REALLY that big of a franchise? I never heard of it....EVER. I was thinking, "Hmmmm, a classic game connection?! Could this be related to the old Skate or Die games?!". Nah. Bummer. I could guess a LOT of people had hoped the IGN announcement was BIGGER than that. The sites forums I looked regarding that had people that kinda said the same thing, which question marks looming over their heads. "Skate It" what?!
So, is there any word on which day the event is taking place? All we know is it's in the coming week. Perhaps Friday or something?

It's EA produced and came out a couple years ago for X360. Skate's a total skateboarding simulation that many skaters appreciate the realistic physics of. It's like what Gran Turismo is to Ridge Racer -- makes Tony Hawk games seem unprofessional and cartoony.

Seriously, I never heard of it. I have heard of Cran Turismo and Tony Hawk, though. But as of now, no, I wasn't aware of it's existance. Though I can say the same about the Kid Klown series.

Don't get me wrong...
I wanna see the next Castlevania as much as anybody, but I'd gladly wait awhile to see IGA step up the quality control --particularly for a 3D game (if he makes another one).
It makes me nervous how Konami is pushing for a new Castlevania every year --while many of the best games ever made (including SotN) spend far more time in development.

well even though we usually get around one Castlevania a year, the titles are usually good, and as for controls for 3D Castlevanias, CoD's controls were fine, but if you made them say like the DMC series, it would be great

I may be mistaken, but I don't recall IGA actually directing any of the 3D games. I know he supervises them. He's always listed as Producer. Isn't Takashi Takeda the Director of CoD?

Other than Producer, IGA is listed as the story writers for his games. But yeah, I do think he supervises the projects. But who's to say what he actually does. From my recollection, when Sakaguchi was with Square, he was still listed as a producer, yet he really didn't have any input with the games he produced.
