Title: New International Castlevania Slot Machine at G2E2016
Post by: Reinhart77 on October 22, 2016, 04:38:39 PM
It's been a while since I've hung out here so I'm not sure if this was covered elsewhere since it's a few weeks old news, but it looks like there's a Castlevania Slot Machine that will be released internationally.  Seems to have Hector as its hero and it recycles Curse of Darkness cut scenes.  Julia seems to have been transformed into a princess in this game, and Hector is now a vampire hunter?  I'm assuming Richter would be the second vampire hunter mentioned in the game.  Wonder if I'll ever stumble across it at a casino in my state?

Obvious annoyance at another CV slot machine aside, I'd say those story details have more to do with the fact that this Konami rep seems to only have a surface level understanding of Castlevania. That's probably why he referred to Julia as a princess and Hector as a vampire hunter.

It's sad. Those 3D graphics during gameplay remind me of Mega Man: Powered Up and how I wanted a kid-friendly "SpookyVania" kinda CV game a long while back.

haha you're probably right.  i just wanted to take what he said at face value since we don't have any other details.

oh, and i wonder what debut collectible the first 20 twitter folks to post a picture of it won.

Users have commented about this on the CV birthday thread, its good that now it have its own thread though. These graphics would be great for a Kid Dracula game.

I wouldn't have a problem with slot machines if they used it as a "bonus", making slot machines while focusing on console games. Meh, nothing that I can do about it for now...

So maybe we should stop sending shovels and start sending a new pair of ears? xD

Nah, we keep sending shovels, but add in ears for free.  Maybe have the ears taped on the shovel    ;D
