While I know I've created a thread (http://castlevaniadungeon.net/forums/index.php/topic,7760.msg172671.html#msg172671) about the same topic long ago which I know I can't bump up due to this forum's prohibition of Necroposting, anyways I remember someone was working on a Demon's Crest engine which they posted a demo of here, anyways does anyone here still have plans of a Demon's Crest and Castlevania crossover game?
-
I have a 60% completed Demon's Crest engine I made in game maker.
I haven't worked on it in a long time, but I never had any intention on a crossover game.
If anyone is interested in the engine as-is, I'd be happy to share it.

A GnG/CV crossover would be amazing! Demon's Crest is darker than GnG but still the same universe. The GnG and CV have a lot of similarities from horror action to control, extra weapons and a map screen

While a GnG/CV crossover would be amazing, even just a Demon's Crest fan game would be incredible to see! It would be interesting to see the engine that you were working on, Inccubus - did you have plans at the time to create a fan game or where you just working on the engine?

I started trying to hack the NES game but gave up on it because my mind just wasn't in the right frame to make sense of the code. But it's fairly clean code, from what I remember. --in case anyone wanted to get the original core mechanics.

I'm just gonna leave this here:

Here you go it's for Game Maker Studio.
Not for the free one you need to have the full version.
I got all the basic movements finished.
When I left off I had been working on the dash move.
The about page has a list of what is done.
It includes a large test room with tons of blocks.
Oh, I made the pots too.

IIRC, I commented the code pretty well. Feel free to use this for your projects if you like, just give me some credit.
