I was at GS today, and read those little magazines they have in the front. It said if you reserve it, you get a 8-Bit Simon Belmont Figure when you come to pick it up.

Yeah as cool as that is, I already ordered one from the San Diego Comic Con cause Neca toys said it was a limited 1000 or 2000 or something, but I guess I'm getting a second one soon

I'm tempted to reserve it now even though I don't have a PSP or plan on getting one just to get the figurine.

I've heard these were very poorly made (they certainly look like it), and that this promotion is more a ploy to get rid of their overstock than anything else. Don't be fooled.

I preordered mine, whether or not it comes with Simon I won't care, I'll likely just stand him on top of my PC desk anyway (I was told mine would come with a Pixel Simon).

Nothing special on this 8-bit Simon figure for me. I don't like it at all. It's like a pixelized picture of Simon, so i'm not interesting.

The pixel-Simon was a SDCC exclusive, that they must have had some extras left over from....because I've heard that they'll only be given out to a undetermined amount of the early pre-orders of the game. When that will cut-off is anyone's guess, and it's only advertised in the stores from what I've seen.

No, Neca is selling all there other comic con exclusives online except for Simon because they ran out. They are making more for the pre-order.

I have never even seen this 8-bit simon. Quite frankly, to me its all about the game itself, not the figure. Can anyone link me to an image of it anyway?
Also, I guess I'm more excited for my play-asia DXC order, since I got the Konamistyle special from there. November, how I cannot wait for you. :D

Thanks for posting an image of it.
...to be honest, I'm rather dissapointed by it... And no, I'm not trying to say that this isn't still...neat, but...it it is kind of hard to enjoy this as much when the previous thing was that HUGE anniversary package, I'm preordering the konamistyle thing, and every other game's come either with an art book(let), or with a soundtrack sampler.
C'est la vie, I guess this still isn't all that bad. :)

When they first showed this figure for the Comic Con I thought it was going to be flat since all of the pictures were from one angle. I was very surprised when I picked mine up that this is actually a 3D representation of what a sprite would look like. A lot of people at the time complained that they didn't like it. I don't know why though. It was only ten dollars and looked exactly like it should.
Having it as the pre-order bonus is a little disappointing though. At the very least Neca could have used the same mold and repainted it in Simon's Quest colors. Oh well...

Hmmmmmmmmmm..... With these 3D angle showing pictures, i can say that it isn't that bad at all. It looks better, so i say my previous opinion doesn't count.

Those 3D pics put it into perspective, I thought it was flat too. I can only imagine how much this'll be worth in 5 years when it's rarity is auctioned on eBay :P

The gamestop exclusive is a SIMON'S QUEST color scheme- Red, Black and White.

Ships today, and it will be out tomorrow morning when the store switches its sign to "Open".
So, release date: October 24th.

Pfeh. Here we have to wait for the shipping truck to come in before we can sell it. When they mean shipping date, they mean it. We don't get the game here til the release date when the shipment comes in. And depending on the efficiency of our mail carrier, that could be as soon as half an hour after we open to just a couple hours before we close.
Fucking hate the delivery services around here.
