For anyone into Ghouls'n Ghosts, here's a new indie game that looks pretty sweet that's already funded on Kickstarter, but there's some cool rewards like a PS4 disc copy by Limited Run Games.
Apparently it's part Ghouls'n Ghosts, part Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap, so it'll have that Metroidvania exploration and returning to previous levels.
There's two soundtracks, a modern orchestrated one, and an arcade-style FM Synth one by Gryzor87, who did the excellent Maldita Castilla music.

The voice acting sounds cheesy, but damn! That's an awesome-looking game!

I played the demo a couple of weeks ago and I like it for the most part, but I don't like the assist character(s). Between them and the effects, it gets pretty busy and I took a lot of cheap hits that I couldn't see coming because of it all.

It looks kinda liked they traced over SG&G sprites for the main character.

It looks super G&G and tbh, from the looks of it, maybe the clothes mechanic are the same... but I don't see no boobs, or at least a tback.
I was never a fan of those G&G games though.

Well you wouldn't see boobs or a tback since she's sporting padded leather armor. Which makes sense since she has to wear full-plate over top of that, and full-on metal gear will pinch hard without cushioning. I suppose from a G&G point of view it would be a throwback to the original game to have her running around in her undies since that's what Arthur had after he lost all his armor. Maybe these guys are just being careful with how they want their princess to be represented.
