Fighting game of the generation!!  ^.^  I have ACA Samurai Shodown and SSVI, and would buy all the Samurai Shodowns to PS4, but this news surpasses Samurai Shodown port expectations!!  this is gonna be glorious for fighting fans!!!!!! this makes up for PS4 missing out on SSIV (which Switch got)

for the first time ever SSV Special has definitive version on the leading modern console!!  and uncensored and with multiplayer on top of that!!   even the arcade and neogeo versions were not the true versions, which PC modders fixed, but now on PS4 is gonna have a even grander playerbase!!    (and even if the netcode is cheese, this is a SNK fighting game, so even in single player there's no shortage of formidable opponents)

That is legit one franchise I never expected to see again. And they're releasing on Vita?!

Duuuuuuuude I <3 my Vita. This is definitely going on that.

its the most incredible fighting game, SNK and Samurai Shodown news!!  this is the first time SS Special is available outside of neogeo, it was the last official Neo Geo game,  and this is the first time ever a console/platform gets the uncensored version without needing to mess with the BIOS!!

and it has cross buy, cross play, online play, and more!!   ;D

and blood and gore was always a part of the series since the original

We wanted to illustrate the terror of fighting weapon-to-weapon, the impact of fighting with a sword in the game. I thought it was very interesting to have players fight under the risk and fear of fighting with weapons and feel the destructive force of the sword

the only reason SSV Special was censored back then was because of a controversial violent case that happened in Japan around the sametime.  but really, the reality of violence should not be censored anyways.  ultra violence is glorified worldwide regardless in the industry, sell big, and a game having ultra violence blood and gore and overkills, won't have negative impact considering civilizations have been committing violent and horrifying acts since ancient times anyways,
and a lot of regions are more comfortable with ultra violence than sexual themes (which is nothing wrong either, but hey, the general public are too ignorant and sensitive about such natural things).

anyways, the level of graphic violence is not MK9/XL levels, so it would be absurd for SSVS to be criticized for graphic violence and not MK series (and MK11 is due in 2018 I think).

the intense blood and gore really does enhance the whole experience and is a part of Samurai Shodown's principles and nature, so it is a important part of it and makes the fights and results more gratifying.
