First time I've seen her. Neat.
But I'd say more like she looks closer to an Atlus design.
-
Ehh i dunno, she doesn't look like a cv character 2 me. But to each his own I guess.

So did this game get rated M for T&A yet? It looks just as risqu

I wonder if Namco will get sued for this character design:

Yeah, see? Atlus.

Not really.

That's the mark of a true warrior.

Not really. She looks like the 'gothic' girl for some (insert RPG with good artwork here) instead. Like yeah, the Persona series.
Now Raphael's look...XD
-
I'd lol if IGA made a Raphael in CV with that design :P ( or maybe even recycle the sprite lol )

There is no sprite for Rapheal. And it is clearly an Alucard outfit, so what would be the point?

Yeah, I wonder too. In this picture, Raphael looks kind of like Alucard from SotN.

Is that the Stellar Sword in his possession? :P

uh no. it's just a rapier.
what would maxim's sword be doing in a completely unrelated series? :o
-
Raphael looks a lot cooler in his concept art than he does in the game.
He looks like a geek in the game.
-
might i add where they fight also in soul calibur 3, valley of wallchia, the stage bio talks about a curse ocming from the castle? hmm dracula's castle perhaps? lol well wait no vlad tepes was mentioned in the game :p
-
first Charater same Style Guilty gear other character same Samurai Shadown ;D

Hahaha, if Raphiel looked like that during actual gameplay, I'd have a new character! It's so annoying how much better characters look in concept art and, in some games, cut scenes then in the game! Tales of Symphonia-gorgeous cut scenes, crappy in game graphics. It's those stupid cheap companies that produce them! We should attack them, take the producers hostage (sorry Iga) and force them to make better graphics! Who's with me?! >:(

Well, it's very different to make a gorgeous piece of art outside of a game then to get said art (especially when turned to polygons) working efficiently within a game's engine.
The reason most in-game art doesn't reach the complexity of it's out-game cousins is because the systems usually can't handle it.
Also, the concept artists and sprite/polygon artists can often be two different people (or sets of people) entirely.
