I don't know if there's already a topic started on here about it but how's everyone like bloodstained curse of the moon so far? I've already beaten it twice. Once on regular mode with veteran difficulty and again on nightmare mode with casual difficulty. I personally adore it and find it just as difficult as the old Castlevania games when in nightmare mode on veteran difficulty. Anyone else enjoying this game? ;D

I enjoy finding breakable blocks that contain power ups or point bonus, it's the great nostalgia feelings coming back
This game is VERY popular among speedrunners... I keep imitating the cool shortcut stuff all these days after the game's launch. Ultimate mode made control scheme much better but the solo Zangetsu route quick kill against boss 4 is still hard for me...

As much as I'd love to do a zengetsu only run without killing off the other characters, I feel like I'd get my ass handed to me hahahaha. I use Mariam and Alfred so much I'm spoiled now. Probably from playing so much of Castlevania 3.

This was a pretty fantastic game. I think its strength lies in the multiple characters. Even if the game is easier with all 4 of them, it's still so much fun. And I looooooove the music.
But a playthrough with an unpowered Zengetsu - although challenging - just sucks most of the fun out of the game for me. That's the only flaw for me, but it's a big one.

The only thing i haven't done is the boss rush. As for Zangetsu solo run, i believe is for masochist people.....but still i manage to do it!!

I've started playing this last night. It's giving me a CV3 - slightly mixed with Vampyre: Master of Darkness - kind of vibe.
Seems cool so far, I just befriended Alfred... Now I know how Batman feels. 8)

i just started
wishing i could afford it

Yeah, it's basically Castlvania 3 on steroids. Which is my favorite in the CV Series so I am game.

I really enjoyed the game. As noted in this thread, it does have a very Castlevania III vibe. Combined with the quality of life bonuses (like Casual mode for use sucky players), I'd put it ahead of a few of the official entries in the Castlevania series.
(I have a review of it up on the Inverted Dungeon, if you're interested: http://www.inverteddungeon.com/?section=bloodstained&page=home (http://www.inverteddungeon.com/?section=bloodstained&page=home))

Uh, yeah. Up and active for years now. Been doing a full rework of the site over the last couple of years. Gotta get one of the Dungeon sites to be active. ;)

I finished the first Veteran/ Normal play through last night. I'm currently playing through nightmare.
While I do really think it's a solid game, I can't say I like it as much as say CV3.
Maybe it's just me, but some of the bosses and mid-bosses feel more inspired by Shovel Knight than CV, not that it's a bad thing. It's definitely the closest we've had to a new 8-bit CV.

I kinda got that feeling as well. CotM feels like a CV/Shovel Knight crossover at times. For me I think it's because everything in the CotM (graphics-wise) is smooth-looking like shovel knight whereas CV 3 was rather rough-looking.

Shovel Knight's incorporation of large stationary enemies (I've referred to as mid-bosses) who use repetitive patterns of attack was surely borrowed from Megaman, most notably Megman 2.
I think my favourite boss thus far has been the Dual-headed Dragon, and yes, I loved that throwback to the original COTM.

I think it's a reference to the Water Dragons from Dracula's Curse

I have both unlocked and beaten Ultimate Mode.
I have also finished Normal and Nightmare modes.
I haven't done Boss Rush and I haven't done the partial run.
Great game! Had to play it on the Switch because my PC copy keeps on crashing at the Library Stage.

The second time you've reached "Master Hunter", congratulations!! ;D
