but with platforming thrown in there too! just imagine!
a mmorpg with platforming/jumping! it would definitely be
great! but of course they first have to make sure it has
great graphics and lots of Castlevania-themed elements! :)

Id atleast try it out. Im probably one of the very few here that would. Seems like most of the ppl here are completely anti mmo in every sense not just related to CV.
Im about 99% sure a CV mmo made with the current CV crew at Konami would suck utterly tho.

I recently downloaded the World of Warcraft 10 day trial. That game is utter trash. I fail to see how Blizzard has 10 million people playing that crap. All the quests are "KILL THESE THINGS, BRING ME BACK WHAT THEY DROP." Also, I feel like I'm playing in Looney Toon Land. I'm just waiting for Bugs Bunny to come out of a hole in the ground and tell me "EEEAAA! WHAT'S UP DOC?!" While chewing on his carrot. In conclusion, all MMORPGs suck.
I would try a Castlevania one.

If it were actually good and made a successful 3D Action game, maybe. But if it's like World of Warcraft, fuck no.

A Castlevania MMORPG would be quite difficult to implement, for one thing. I've never seen a platforming MMORPG. :P It'll probably be 3D too, so it might suck.
I'll try anything once.

I don't like the idea for a castlevania MMORPG. Castlevania it was meant to be 2D and it should stick with 2D.
Now for the 3D, i think that if IGA can come with something good, it can go also 3D and that's all!

I've never played WoW. It's probably a cool game, but I somehow prefer offline gameplay when it comes to the action/adventure/RPG genres.
Mario Kart Wii on the other hand, now THAT'S another story. :D
Having said that, I could definitely do without a MMORPG Castlevania.

as far as i remember maple story was 2d and a platforming mmorpg. its character designs were awful.

Although I do despise MMORPGs, it still is Castlevania, which I love, so yes, I would play it because I never pass up anything that is Castlevania.

This is the -only- way I'd be really interested in a 3D CV game, honestly. It doesn't seem very Castlevania-ish, but if it were done properly? Hell yeah. I would probably still prefer WoWcrafts tho.

konami wouldn;t have to i've been ruling over my own province of wallachia for 6 years on an mmorpg. and i got the biggest player built castle :p

Somehow, I doubt that an MMO Castlevania game would be all that great. I wouldn't mind something along the lines of PSO, though, in which you travelled in a party of no more than four characters. It'd be interesting having several classes, each based on a particular Castlevania protagonist. :)

I'm sure I'd give it a try, but I have a thing about playing games against people who aren't in the room with me. I can't donkey punch someone for being a douche if he's playing from somewhere in China. :P

OMG I was thinking something similar while playing through Curse of Darkness! They could just add multiplayer to that game and call it a day.
