Title: What's the most anachronistic thing to ever appear in a Castlevania game?
Post by: Super Waffle on June 07, 2019, 01:55:13 AM
Your options are

1. Maria's spats shorts in 1797
2. Castlevania 64's motorcycles in 1844
3. Other

Please discuss.

Definitely this. The Motercycle skeletons are passable since the nature of castlevania itself effects space/time to an extent. We even see this in the original Castlevania, stage 5: The room where Frankenstien's Monster was created.

Are we not going to mention a minigun and an electric guitar in 1479?

Ah! The Weapons that made absolutely no sense in CoD. The minigun would have been cool if it wasn't so bloody slow and cumbersome. Never saw the point of it or the guitar either (or the frying pan with bacon & eggs now that I think of it). Those item were just a waste of valuable resources that I would have to spend more time reacquiring because the non-streamlined steal system  :P

Nothing, as we know for a fact time travel is a thing in the Castlevania timeline , ah!  ;D

This.  By this point magical time travel is clearly established in the series.  Which isn't surprising as magical time manipulation has been present since literally the beginning.

So I am going to go more obscure and say the clocks in LoI.  Mechanical clocks would not be invented for another 550 years.  So unless Walter causally time jumped to pick up furniture for around the house, I don't buy it.

Weren't some of those foods in Rondo, or to be more specific, when playing through the game as Maria?
