I don't even want to think about it. I hope it doesn't come for a long time. I don't need or want to keep buying more consoles

The best next gen system would include all of the above for its features. I don't have to worry about my PS3 though. I managed to get a hold of the 80 gig Metal gear solid 4 sales version. It's backwards compatible all the way to the PSX. Lucky me.

I think the current console gen came way too soon.  PS2 was still going strong, and we had just begun to make full use of its potential.  I wouldn't mind if it's another five years before we move on, especially since the overall game quality of this generation is pure shit compared to that of the last four.

Seein how it is rumored that this war will last longer, I too am waitin to get a new system in 8+ years

I have a Ps3 and don't think that I would buy a new system in the next three years because of cost

I agree that the consoles were commin out very quickly

4 yrs for a new console is fast

I think this generation is different since it is not about graphics or sales like previous years, but more about innovation.

I mean if a company makes a system that isn't sellin very well, they make a better system.  For instance, the Xbox was made to replace the Dreamcast and the 360 was created because of poor Xbox sales.

This year is different because it is Sony who is trailing (not by much) and they don't seem to want to start over, which is great, imo.
