I actually found LoI's Crazy Mode more satisfying than frustrating. The beginning was harsh but it began to ease out by what I felt was an improvement in my own skill. There's also the whole enemy placement thing. I also thought the changes in blocking spiced things up a bit. And as a final point: the enemies didn't turn into HP tanks unlike CoD and PoR. That was the thing that really killed the hard modes in those two for me.

yeah, you're right.  on my game, i've cleared the the house of sacred remains but can't beat the boss to get that orb that will give me an edge in later stages.  i shudder at the thought of attempting a second stage with no orbs, but maybe that's what i'll have to do to power up enough to beat one of those bosses.
