Lords of Shadow actually made me tear up a bit.....

Unfortunately, not once, but twice. First time (in the Titan Graveyard) wasn't really a tear up, just the atmosphere and music getting to me enough to make me feel sad. At one point, I was listening to the music (Waterfalls of Agharta), and just standing there viewing all the waste and destruction, and it all just hit me. Made me a sad panda it did.

The part that made me actually tear up a bit was the sequence right before you fight the final boss. Just thought it was really beautiful, and it made me think of how much I love my wife. So, it was more thinking about my wife than anything, but the emotions were induced by playing a game.

Never before has this happened to me. Not even when Aeris died in FFVII.

So, uh, is my man-cred completely gone now? Will watching more football help?

Football is overrated.

I do admit, not sure if it's nostalgia or what, but the Waterfall theme does make me melancholy in that good way that some classical music does. It's a beautiful arrangement; shame the rest of the music so far is just any given epic Hollywood movie soundtrack.

I too teared up a bit.......

Right about the time I realized my hype for this game had landed in the sewers and this resembled a Castlevania game about as much as a tuna resembles a clown.

If this game made you tear up avoid Schindler's List then.
The dream reveals the reality, which conception lags behind. That is the horror of life - the terror of art.

IMHO, LoS is a definitive Cv experience. Only thing missing is better sub weapons, but I can deal with that considering that everything else meets the CV standard.
