Hey guys there's something i wanna know. Is this game good? Im not a doujin fan / tohou. ( Not to say i hate it just never really heard of  em') I D/L'd the OST and it's by far amazing. I wanted to get a feel of the game you know. I'm a fan of the "Metroid-Vania" style gameplay including Dracula X and SCIV.

I thought it was pretty neat, barring a few oddities. The flying is way too cheap, and ruins any platforming challenge that might be presented. It looks pretty neat though, with some 3D background elements.

I would give it a try at least.

I completed this game on the easy difficulty and here is what I can say about it.

The game is pretty good. It's like a very short and dificult version of Rondo of Blood. It gives you an old, good classic'vania feel about. Visuals are pretty and music is wonderful.

Though game has some downsides. Controls are a bit sluggish. And there are questionable enemy placement sometimes (though if I ever do a Castlevania / Castlevania-like game I'll do the same thing, just to piss players of a bit). Bosses almost have nothing to do with Castlevania and could be very difficult, but it's fun to fight with them.

All in all it's a very nice Castlevania-like game with amazing graphics and music. If you are fan of classic'vanias and hard games in general, I think you certainly will like it. If you are more into RPG / "Metroidvania" style then you could be disappointed.

It's more like if you stripped a Metroidvania of its leveling and exploration aspects, than a Classicvania.

It's Touhou after all, it's a doujin game of a bullet hell shooter. So I'd say it's pretty good.

How in hells name does it look more like a ninja gaiden? :o

It looks very CV, but it also seems so boring... it doesn't have the feel that CV has to make it look fun or something.

Just found some pieces of information about second game.
Full version will be released at December 30.
And the game will have voice acting.
Amongst other actors there will be actress who voiced Maria Renard Faerie and Fairy familiars in japanese version of Symphony of the Night.

Thanks Koutel for the correction.

Japanese version of Symphony of the Night Maria's voice actor is Chisa Yokoyama.

Hekiru Shiina: Faerie Familiar and Fairy Familiar.
I'm on hiatus now.
