I am proud to own both Castlevania and Castlevania II on my Wii but when do you think II might hit? I think within the next 3 months. You?

Whenever it comes, I hope Konami takes advantage of the opportunity to add all the enhancements from the Japanese version, particularly the superior music, damage system, and Grant's throwing knives.

It won't happen, though.

Music aside, I think the U.S. version of Dracula's Curse is better. The damage system (like CV1) keeps every enemy a challenge throughout the game, and giving Grant infinite throwing knives would just encourage sitting back a mashing the B button. But you're right, the companies would never spend any effort altering a game for VC release. Final Fight 1 was still the shameful hack-job of the arcade great, just like when it came out on the SNES.

It COULD happen if we sent enough letters to konami.

I think there is a chance, since Iga admits it's his favorite game of the series, and you would think he would want it released in it's best form.

I am an avid supporter of Nintendo, and I am really pleased with the services offered on their home video game console, Wii. I am especially pleased with their Virtual Console service, giving new players to experience some of the best games from the earlier generations of video games, as well as give veteran players the opportunity to play games that they might have missed.

Glad I'm not the only one. I think some of the music in the US version is better though too. Some of the synth sounds they used in the Japanese version were terrible, and the American version had different takes on some of the songs that were really cool (like the Tower Of Terror theme for example-the American version BLOWS the Japanese version away!)

That said, I'm sure this will come out soon. CVIII is a classic on the NES, so I'm sure Nintendo will see fit to put it on VC.
