So, Im sure many of you have heard of or player Megaman 8. Well, a beta was recently uncovered, with many goodies intact.

Rockman 8 Beta v1 update

"Have Thunder Claw

"Have Ice Wave

"Have Water Balloon
801CCD6C 0001
"Have Homing Sniper
801CCD70 0001
"Have Astro Crash

I also have codes for infinite use for each of those weapons, but are they really necessary? Power ups are easy to get.

Considering what happened, the soundtrack and some (ahem) goodies can be found here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=6ZGISZMK (if this link doesn't work, let me know).

Oh, and to access 2 more stages that are not normally playable, (just framework)

x = 2 or 3

You want to have the code off.

Highlight either playable stage.

Press Start and quickly pause emulation, I don't know if R2 works.

Turn on the code.

Resume game.

The specified stage will load.

Its really cool, especially because it has lots of differences between it and the final. check it out!

These Beta test versions are always a treat to see in action cause it shows you just what the programmers roughly had in mind for the final product. And of course some of treats they have in the Beta version end up being cut from the final release because A: Not enough time and B: Budget constraints. I heard there was a extra stage in Mega Man X they called crystal city or something like. I've also seen a screen-shot of the Beta and it shows a completely different intro city which in my mind, looked even better then the final product. If it's possible do you think you can locate this MMX beta version Flame? I'd be very happy if you could  ;)

I assume you mean the infamous "white city" screenshots.

Unfortunately, nobody has that. That we know of anyway. for all we know, there just might be a cartridge or folder on some computer holding it. But who can say? now, what I CAN give you, is a near final beta of Megaman X6.

That site has a lot of useful goodies! Thanks for the find. I guess I'll just have to keep looking for that MMX Beta rom till I find it.

I assume you mean the infamous "white city" screenshots.

Yep, that it. Even if the multi-scrolling was non-existant that cityscape still looks better then the final.

The final area of the highway where you fight Vile reeks of unfinished, with such a plain background.
