Tt was from the review of Anderson's first draft of the CV movie. It was on one movie site(I forget, or maybe I WANTED to forget). It was pretty bad.

The thing is, I'm glad Anderson's script got the shaft. Suposably Sylvain White IS a giant fan of CV and has met with IGA recently(and is likely to meet with him again). At least Anderson doesn't have his claws in it. He's as bad as Glen Morgan and Rob Zombie, and WOULD most likely cast Milla Jovovich as Sonia or some kickass heroine.

i a go fore Sonia as the Belmont but not the main cast in the CV movie , remember a CV should have a Belmont but is not always about a Belmont . Also her place in the CV time line should had push back 100 to 200 year . and the movie sould inclue why sonia is the only female who can wide the vamp killer .

I'm curious to know where you got this Christopher and Simon brothers thing? I've been checking in on it and I don't think I've seen that. But if you have a link or some where you've read the plot I'm sure we'd like to know

It was from the friday the 13th forum, but they've recently closed down unfortunately or I'd link to the thread, the original script I heard about had dracula not even attempting to take over the world for the first time until the 1800's among other strange things I can't remember, I'm glad to hear that script was chucked though and anderson isn't a big part of the film anymore, god I hate what he does to videogame movies, the man is a butcher not a director.

Quote
Simon is the most easily identifiable Belmont of the series for those who aren't rabid fans. Richter would be the second. I would choose either one of these two for the protagonist, though I'd prefer Simon. (although a cameo from Leon in the beginning to explain the origin of the BelmontxDrac story would be good too)

Yeah Simon would be a good choice, but their aren't any other belmonts around during his quest that we know about and he doesn't really interact with many people aside from talking to some townsfolk or buying things or bring any people along with him, I mean it'd be hard to have any kind of social interaction with anybody and have any kind of relationships or friendships if he was the main character, it'd be all about him kickin' ass, though I would  like it I don't know if it'd appeal to non-castlevania fans.

Anderson seems to only take the themes of the games, but fails to deliver the atmosphere of those games. Resident Evil was never about action, it was survival horror. What Anderson did was turn it into a big ass shooting spree with karate kicking action. The original RE games were more along the line of older horror movies from the 70s or 80s. Hell, I think 28 Days Later was MORE like what a RE should've been like than any of the existing RE movies out there.

I agree, I go to a horror movie to see horror, not some action fest. I never got who the main girl was supposed to represent from the games either.
