I think it looks very good so far. Glad to see it appears to have a traversable world map. I've grown rather tired of point-and-click maps in RPG's.

It looks like a spiritual successor to Final Fantasy(Gaiden): 4 Heroes of Light. Other than it having the same art direction(Akihiko Yoshida worked on both), the brief battle footage shows the Golem monster, which is basically the same exact design as it appeared in 4HoL. At first, I thought it was purely using pre-rendered graphics, but when the camera zooms in at various scenes, it becomes apparent that it's full 3D area that seems to be texture mapped with the pre-rendered skin. It's more apparent when you zoom in, but it's not that bad looking, actually looks rather amazing. Definitely looking better than 4HoL.
