Topic: I have some questions about Order of Ecclesia

In OoE, you can pick up different colored drops (red, white, black, etc) that look like candies and get added to your USE ITEMS menu.  Does using these drops permanently increase attribute points, or temporarily?  Been looking through all kinds of FAQs and none of them seem to specify that point.  I'm sure someone here knows.
I have just about every color of the rainbow in my inventory, but haven't used them because I've always thought they were temporary and I was going to save them until a boss gave me a hard time.

Cool, thanks.  Now I have another question.  I defeated Jiang-Shi, but Irina still talks to me as if I haven't.  Do I have to defeat him more than once for her?
I actually defeated him about 10 times, because I didn't know about not hitting him again after that plank appears on his face and he freezes.
He clearly shows as defeated in my enemy guide, but that fat biatch Irina isn't recognizing that fact.  I beat him, opened the chests in the next room, warped in the next room to the beginning of the area, and walked out.

Did you do the two quests before the Jiang-Shi one? The 30 Crows one and the 10 Werewolves one.

The answer to the first question is that yes, they are permanent.  As for the second one, did you defeat Jiang-Shi before or after you talked to Irina?  In order to complete Irina's third task you first have to complete her first two tasks ( 1.  30 crows, 2. 10 werewolves), then you talk to her again so that she tells you about the vampire in the cavern, and then finally you defeat the Jiang-Shi.  So, if you defeated Jiang-Shi after Irina tells you to kill him, just go back to the large cavern and defeat him again.  It's as simple as that.

Yeah, it sucks.  But, it's the only way.  At least, you will get some great experience.

Here's something fun to do.  Go to a latin->english dictionary site and type the words in the glyph names to see what their names mean.  For example, 'secare', the sword glyph, means 'cut' in latin.  I actually looked up every single glyph, and about 90% of them came back with a translation.  It's just something interesting/fun to do if you're bored.  Oh - here's the latin->engish site I used:  http://www.latin-dictionary.org/

PS - I'm still not sure what 'vol' and 'melio' mean, but I'm guessing they mean something like 'stronger' and 'strongest'.
