If .. if , if if there is a game will be announced it will be a direct sequel of Los and if , if and if the old castlevania developers moved their butt and announced a new game it will be on 3ds  , a classicalvania ! or a poorly made 3D game on PS3 / XB360

Symphony is part of the Dracula X story. It's Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight, the sequel to Dracula X. It's already part of the Dracula X Chronicles. It would be redundant to make another Dracula X chronicles for Symphony. Think about that. in Japan it is a Dracula X game. So while we might call it Symphony of the Night Chronicles, what would they call it? Dracula X Chronicles 2? Nocturne in the Moonlight Chronicles?

Also, Symphony is just one of those games that should never be remade. The remake will never capture the glory of the original.

I see nothing wrong with a symphony remake.

Just so long as they actually do not change to much and keep all the greats about symphony alive than I think it would be a great idea and a great money maker for Konami.

in fact, I'm kinda shocked Konami hasn't done it already...

Just make the remake 2.5D, add some updated remix tracks, add some new story elements, keep everything that made symphony great pretty much the same while adding new stuff and I'm completely sold.

It worked for Mega Man X so why not symphony?

Symphony of the Night still holds up as one of the finest 2D games on the market and honestly a remake would ruin it.

a remake would ruin it.

But how so?

Could you please explain in detail?

And please, none of that "It could never capture the the real glory" type of argument since I honestly do not agree.

If Mega Man X Maverick Hunter can still capture what made the original Mega Man X so great than I see no reason symphony could not.

But I honestly would like to hear a detailed argument as to why a remake would fail or "ruin" anything.

We don't need a remake of SotN, but it would be cool to get it on 3DS, with the original voice acting intact.

I love SotN, it and Aria of Sorrow are hands down the best Metroidvanias in the series, really fun game. First time I played it I got the Crissaegrim quite easily and breezed through the inverted castle. SotN proves that just because a game isn't difficult, doesn't mean it can't be fun. The platforming, locales, the soundtrack, and art direction make SotN a divine masterpiece in Konami's catalogue of great games.

How many times should we stick with SOTN ? they released the game like 5 times : Saturn , PSX , PSP , PSN , XBOX360 and now our friend will remaster the game and it will be the last time i replay sotn , i know that sotn is one of the greatest games in the whole series and i'm so loyal to this game too but sorry there is no point in re-buying the game over and over so , why don't they make a sequel instead of releasing the game again and again or that radio drama why didn't they make a whole new sequel instead of a radio drama ?

Awesome Possum. Look it up, even just the title screen, on Youtube, and try to contain your immediate and boiling hatred.

Don't get me wrong, there's no shortage of great stuff on the Genesis, but any great system has a plethora of horrendous games.

I played this game when it first came out. Read all the things said about it in GameFan issues I had and still have (loved what they had to say about this game). Was the second vania game I beat after Super Castlevania IV, so I recognized the first boss duo right away. I was like "Oh no's!" Lol, sadly that was like the last hard boss battle I had. Dracula died without even touching me... I've tried many times to replay this game but each time I never made it past the the Outer Wall when you first get to it. And why not, I already seen the best part in the game already. The telescope and the bird & nest... Ooh, ahhh. :o What a great game. :) ... OK, what's next? >_>

Oh and for crying out loud, before some people get a heart attack or start crying, I better mention that even though I never managed to replay this game again, it still remains to this day my best Playstation 1 experience. And what made me fall in love with 2D all over again after awhile of only wanting the new gaming experience that only 3D provided back then.

D...de...pixelated?

So you're one of THOSE types. :o

Never got the appeal of smoothing over pixels. It looks butt-ugly.

Tell me about it.

You mean you haven't read countless of complaints yet about how SNES fanboys can't stand the Genesis graphics and sounds? Where have you been?

What Konami could do too is to leave SotN and to move on with newer stuff.

I like that idea. Weve been getting SoTN ever since SoTN.
