So I was watching the latest episode of 1up.com's "The 1up Show" And they mention that the PS3 is region free (me thinks when they're talking about Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, if anyone's watched it). So, I wasn't aware of this, so if that is true, let me know.

But what I really was curious about: if it is Region Free, can it play import PS1 and PS2 games with no problem??

Anyone know??

Yes its region free but you can't play PS1 and PS2 games that are not from the same region as the PS3..

Region free for blu-ray PS3 games, not region free for PS1 or PS2 games but if you get games from the Playstation Store they are region free I believe.
