It's supposed to be available at Gamestop, Best Buy, and Target.
For those who don't know, it's a game console running on the Android OS, meant to make it easy for independent and other small game studios to get their games out to the public. It also allows you to play games otherwise meant for mobile phones on your TV screen. Beyond that, it already has software for videogame emulation, so you can play NES, SNES, N64, Playstation, etc. games on your TV in high definition. One emulator even has a store where you can buy newly made NES games! Because of what it is, it will have a lot of shovelware, but there are already a few gems on there and there are other potentially great games already in development, or on the way to being ported over.
I'm really interested in some of the games they currently have on there. Final Fantasy 3 remake (it's apparenly the same as the DS version, but HD), A Bit of a Fist of Awesome, The Bard's Tale, The Ball, Rush Bros, Ravensword: Shadowlands., Shadowgun, Towerfall, Fester Mudd (Scumm is still alive!), and probably a few more. Chronoblade looks awesome, and will be free to play in browsers when it actually comes out, but they have the demo on OUYA now. It will also be free on OUYA, and I just love playing videogames on a console hooked up to my TV. I think most things on OUYA are available in other systems/phones/pcs, but I like that it brings so much into one console on TV. Plus, they're getting some exclusives like Broken Age, from Double-Fine Entertainment. The system comes with tools to help anyone develop games for it too, so there will definitely be an abundance of games to come. Most will probably be shovelware, but I know a few gems will come out of the woodwork given time.
