Dracula's Castle A Living Creature/Demon In Reboot Castlevanias?

Has it ever been mentioned in any of the reboot Castlevanias that Dracula's Castle / Bernhard's Castle is a living creature or some kind of demonic entity?  I know in the original Iga games that was seemingly the case but I thought I read something that this is true for the reboot series as well.

Yep. It was bonded with a demon and made it sentient.

Cool.  Do you remember which game it was mentioned in?  Sorry if I'm being a pest, I was curious since I don't what game it was mentioned in and what it said about it.

Before the reboot, in SotN, Alucard tells Maria that the castle is a "creature of chaos". As for the reboot, it is mentioned in one of the scrolls in LoS1 and in LoS2 (as seen in one of the trailers) the castle is actually rebelling against Gabriel/Dracula.

It was mentioned in LoS1 in one of the scrolls you find, that the castle was virtually impossible to map accurately because it contained a chaotic structure. And the games keep mentioning the Bernhards here & there but I'm hoping we actually get to see Bernhard in LoS2 instead of constantly reading about them.

Didn't the ridiculous scale of the castle in Lords I have something to do with that, too? It bonded and then got to be the size of a modern city?

Also, crisis, you very funny. ;)

Thanks everyone for the good and prompt answers!

I'm really glad they kept that lore.  I love the idea of the castle being a sentient entity.  I always kind of hoped the Igavanias would expand on this more but hopefully if there's future Castlevania games after LoS2, they expand a bit on it.

I have always seen Dracula's Castle as being a entity ever since the first Castlevania. Why wouldn't it be? The castle certainly has its own character and personality. In the very least the concept is just great story telling. Alucard, who had "most likely" lived there at one time, indicates that the castle is indeed "A creature of Chaos." Personally, I see the whole saga as being ultimately about Castlevania itself (hence the games title) and everything else simply evolves around it. I would love to see more on the subject in the sagas near future. -Amber

Well half the plot of LoS2 is that the Castle itself is not recognizing Gabriel as its master, it talks and everything hahaha.

You're right.  I forgot about the blood pool and tentacles in that trailer.  I'm glad they're actually covering the area about the castle being alive.
