Rondo of Blood English Patch (PSP to TurboGrafx-CD)

This is a patch (made by one BurntLasagna) that will change almost all the Japanese in the game to English, the exception being Death's in-battle quotation at the end of Stage 5.

If you're into this sort of thing, it can be found here, here, or here.

Die monster. You don't belong in this world!

I'm really kind of surprised this wasn't done within the first month that DXC released.

Now here's a question: Can you patch the iso and reinsert it into the Virtual Console release?

Actually it doesn't translate Dracula's battle quotes either or the credits.

Dracula only has one battle quote, which is "Give... me... POWER..." when he transforms.

As for the credits, they had someone working on them, but he ended up having to drop the project due to certain traumatic circumstances.

I notified BurntLasagna of the oversights (Death and Dracula's battle quotes), but time will tell if there's anything that can be done.

Necromancing this thread 'cos holy shiz this is a cool idea, and I can't wait to give it a whirl. I've been wanting to play the original game on a TV with the changes from the PSP version. Hopefully some of the audio sync issues during cutscenes aren't replicated here.

Edit: Dunno if it's the PCE.emu emulator on the Ouya or I goofed slightly on the patching, but the CD audio kind of glitches a little bit: whenever a track is about to play, you'll hear a very abrupt remnant of the previous track. Happens every time a level starts, a song loops, etc. Pretty buggy.

But, the opening cinematic seemed to play out all right, and with English subtitles, and the cinematic with Maria plays out fine with the English voices properly synced. The "Castlevania: Rondo of Blood" title screen also looks seriously damn snappy, like possibly even better than the actual Japanese ROB logo. They really spruced it up. The dripping blood subtitle is kind of cheesy, but it's a way better title screen than the PSP version.

It's hard to appreciate looking at that little screencapture, but it looks really cool on my 52" HDTV.

I provided the title graphics for the little mini game.
The project has been considered done for a long time now.
Personally, I'd like to do an addendum patch with an alternate localization for the title screen.
