I'm really looking forward to playing AoS on the big screen again. Last time was when my Gamecube's disc lens still worked, some eight years ago. That was also before I had an HDTV.
Hopefully, CotM and HoD make it, as well.

Well it's a little ironic: I remember back around the time AoS came out, groups of people expressed that they were rather disturbed that the 2D CVs were being made for handhelds and not home consoles. Now their re-releases are for home consoles and not handheld. Too bad probably a great deal of those people have left gaming by now. :( Modern gaming has not been kind to people who believe 2D games should still get full retail console releases and look like SotN or better. It seems like only a few, like Vanillaware, can get away with it anymore.

Sorry for this unusual rather agitated three pronged activist-sounding post.

Thank goodness for the Gamecube GB player is all I can say to that. I think CotM and AoS are good enough to be console games and that's how I play them. Since I have all these games already though I don't think I'd buy them on the WiiU any time soon, even if I had a WiiU.

I might double dip. I have a Retron 5 on it's way(supposed to come out in April sometime), so I can also play my GBA games on that.

BTW, didn't Nintendo say something that, in the future, a lot of these games will also be compatible with 3DS? I thought I heard they are eventually going to make it more open by having a LOT of the games(NES, SNES, GB/GBA and DS) work on both WiiU and 3DS(kinda similar to what Sony's planning, where you could eventually play Vita games on PS4).

I can only hope that some day (without waiting for the next generation of console/handheld/hybrid to come out), when you buy a Virtual Console game on the Wii U, you get to download it on the 3DS or vice versa, perhaps for a nominal $1-$2 fee like when upgrading from Wii to Wii U.  With the combined accounts, I'll just be let down if that doesn't happen.

Best Castlevania-related thing Konami has done in the past 5 years.

I can't understand why Nintendo hasn't already implemented that. PSN has allowed purchases to be downloaded on PS3, PSP, and Vita for a long time now. No extra fee or purchase. With the combined Nintendo Network account, this really needs to happen.

I'm interested to see how Aria of Sorrow looks on the Wii U, but if it's not as dandy as how it looks on the Ouya, I think I'll pass. Currently, GBA.emu beats the pants off Virtual Boy Advance GX and the Game Boy Player. Full 1080pee-peez vizualz, 25% scanlines to offset the low pixel count and give it a nice look, and no warble effect on my TV like VBA GX does.
Oh yeah, and also:
meat

Soda as well.
