No, seriously. The Castlevania articles on my country look batshit insane. For instance, take a look at the Portrait of Ruin one:

https://pt.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castlevania:_Portrait_of_Ruin

It is in portuguese, of course, but I'll translate the funniest bits for you:

"The story of Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin takes place years after the victory of John Morris and Eric Lecarde over Elizabeth Bartley and her attempt to revive Dracula along with the power of Death and the technology of the time to make more powerful monsters for the World War's arms race worldwide."

What... "Arms Race" what?

"On this era, Eric Lecarde returns to eastern Europe in order to discover the secret behind the events of Castlevania: Bloodlines and the ritual performed to merge Dracula and Death and make them extremely powerful, even in incomplete form and resulting in John Morris' death"

Ritual to merge Death and Dracula... WTF

"Eric Lecarde ends up discovering about a viscount who was attached to Elizabeth Bartley and who taught her about black magic and the occult, his name is Brauner and with his phenomenal ability he could create entire worlds through the memories of humans and painted them in distorted frames where the most terrible nightmares were presented to those who entered them."

So Brauner was a viscount, and he knew (AND TAUGHT!!) Elizabeth about black magic. Right.

And the article goes on and on and on and on and on with its drivel that ultimatelly explains nothing and looks like some bizarre fanfiction written by a 12 year old who has JUST beaten Castlevania PoR. And yeah, if you found my translation confusing, it's because it's barely intelligible in portuguese.

Are there bizarre things like that on your country's version of Wikipedia's entry for any of the Castlevania titles?

There's a couple for the original NES and MSX2 games on the Indonesian Wikipedia, but unfortunately(?) looks like they're just somewhat badly translated from earlier versions of the original English articles.
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

Looks, and sounds like that portuguese article could use a rewrite, lol. Feel up to it plot?

I'll probably be the one to do it. Here the fanbase is big (VERY big, I'd say) but most fans are completelly unaware of the series' over arching plot and nuances, and these articles do not help the cause.

We have these articles, and then we have the fan translations that are either nonsensically bad, or literal - and when you translate things literally from english to portuguese, a lot of sillyness is bound to arise. Only recently the quality started to get better, but even so there are issues.

Nothing really out of the ordinary on the English version. Though ours seems to be far more in-depth than the other ones posted here. Also, we have the boxart posted up.

They added this crazy fanfic on September, 2013. Also I didn't knew that you were from Brazil too, or you are from Portugal? Since we share the same wiki, I don't have anything to add.

edit: They say that Castlevania Dungeon's website is the source of this bullshit LOL

Castlevania Legends must ring a different bell with you then, good times... Anyway I'll not derail it further.
