That'd be pretty awesome!

Also, BlazBlue looks great. But I don't think I'll like it as much as Guilty Gear. The characters just don't look as cool
What a horrible night to have a curse!

are you hoping for a 2D fighter or platformer with Guilty Gear quality graphics?

ggxx style graphics would require a HD mode though. the sprites in a generic cv are 2 times smaller than the old style fighters such as sf or kof.

using the sf/kof size would already go to ps2's max resolution. to get it in even higher one you'd have to go hd, since then we'd be looking at resolutions far exceeding 640x480.

considering a cv game has 2x more space on screen visible than a fighter, the outcome of a ggxx style graphics would be 256x240 times 4. 1024x960 or such. almost hd.

needless to say, many people still don't have hd enabled tvs, so the game would either be automatically downsized to kof size, or just wouldn't work for many people.

Impressive, Serio. :o

Well, I don't really liked it's gameplay much, but I suddenly thought of Odin Sphere. If Cv's sprites came anywhere near that sprite size, that'd be awesome already. But then again I really like the normal Cv-size, as well as I like to have much space on the screen to see what's going.

I agree, for that much detail, the larger the sprites, the better. CV's never been about large sprites. If anything, the rooms were made to look generally larger than the sprites themselves, and large enough to get a feel for where you are in those rooms/areas. If your sprite gets TOO big, then you general view of the room will be cropped off.

Not necessarily--you'd just need a higher resolution to show the same amount of space around the character.  That's what Serio was saying.

Also, if they made a PC version of the game, which wouldst most certainly be a welcome change in as of itself, such concerns wouldst be so infinitesimal as to be basically negligible unto a mass-market scenario. Obviously the RRP may take a hit, but even so...

I wouln't mind either GG or Odin Sphere graphics for Cv.

I'm getting tired of the series being limited by handhelds. And I wouldn't mind trying a Cv more zoomed-in either.

Same. CV has always been about great graphics and music. Can't really achieve all that stuff to its fullest on a handheld.
