Tell me if this also bakes your bacon. Legacy of Ys I & II for the DS. When I heard about that game coming out I was waiting in anticipation. But instead the game store told me that the game was only released for two weeks then they stopped production! I was royally ******!! What kind of stupid idiot gets such a lame brain idea to only temporarily release a classic then cease its production entirely?! I'm in the far north so there was no way to get my hands on the game in the amount of time required. >:(

P.S. Fortunately we still have rom files so I'll just have to look around. :)

EDIT: Nevermind.

I'll just leave this here anyway, even though X didn't go to a Gamestop.

We don't have gamestop. We have the EB games branch. But if you're right about me being lied too, and I DO hope so then all is not yet lost! Thanks. ;)

Show some love for Ys, fuckers!

>:O

I mean.... please go out and buy it.

What they really need to bring over is Oath in Felghana tho.  It's already been fan-translated even (professional localization too).  Plus, Oath is the best Ys to date.  The bosses are friggin insane.

Well, Gamestop and EB games are kinda the same.

Anyways, regardless of which retailer you went to, it doesn't depend on the retailer as to whether or not they get copies. It's the publisher.

Oh I DO want to go out and buy it! I've been a fan of the series since I've first tried it on my SNES. (Ys III) I have played the Book's I & II but I really want to check out the DS version because of the cinematic story that didn't exist in the other versions. Plus enhanced graphics, sound, killer soundtrack and a whole shwack of other goodies to keep me going.

I can agree. There are a lot of games that never made it over here and it's kinda disappointing to think that we missed out on a lot of good games.
