This was a pretty cool fan game, and it got brought up in another thread so I figured to just make a thread for it on it's own.

Basic features:
3 level incomplete fan game
2 playable characters; A whip based guy, and a GUN based guy

The gun guy is really cool in my opinion. It's what I like best about the game.

It's got a fair set of glitches, and no way to change your controls that I can see, but it's still got some great ideas going for it. Worth a shot definitely.

DOWNLOAD LINK
EDIT:
Courtesy of me, here's a version with everything already extracted and put into the folders. Just download the .rar, unzip it and double-click winmugen to play. (:

Or if you still want to do things the hard way for whatever reason;

    http://randomselect.smeenet.org/falchion22/Castlevania%20X.zip
    http://randomselect.smeenet.org/falchion22/Stage1.zip
    http://randomselect.smeenet.org/falchion22/Stage2.zip
    http://randomselect.smeenet.org/falchion22/Stage3.zip

Installation instructions: The download for it is in 4 parts. You need all 4. Unzip Castlevania X.zip and then inside that unzip and put the Stage1, Stage2, and Stage3 folders in the "char" folder.

You should put up screens and maybe a video (screens are more likely) so people can take a look. More of the GUN guy. (:

And everything would've fit perfectly if they were in one extraction file. :\ Why didn't the dudelaw who made this just put it all together?

EDIT: Here's some screens I took. It's amazing what people can do with MUGEN these days. I am overall impressed with how this game played. Though I can't beat the first boss...

Here's Henris, your standard whip wielder. Most people know him as Hanz. Play as this guy if you're totally into playing every other homebrew out there with a whip wielder. :P (you know I kid)

And here's Lucius, the one who's fun to play as. Most people know him as Roberto. Play as this guy if you're into playing something new. He's much more fun, if you ask me.

Mmmm... sweet, sweet, scanlines.... that game's great.  Too bad it's so short.
And I agree that MUGEN does great stuff.  I'm mad that they did not release the code for MUGEN, like, ever.  It'd be great of they open-sourced it to the masses.

The scanlines are ingame. Blame the fact they're using an old version of MUGEN.

I myself have tried out the engine and I cannot figure it out for the life of me. :\

I love scanlines. Gives it that nice 90's look and feel. :)

If it doesn't work then that means in some unexplainable way I screwed up in extracting them. :\

Interesting use of that Roberto sprite. Think I'll give it a go.
