well i've been busy working in real life, but i decided to do another donwmix, don't worry i'm still working on the vampire blood chronicles as well, just need a break sometimes, i tried several versions inclusing a sega genesis mix which i didn't care to much for. the usual nes and komani msx versions.
NES:

MSX:

Sega Genesis Attempt (intro sounds bad):

as usual feel free to speak your thoughts, and inform me when or if a link goes dead

The static sounds in the intro confuse me. I don't know what you're trying to recreate with those. It sounds odd.

Other than that it sounds pretty cool. I wish you tried to do something with the bell sounds though, instead of omitting them.

I think he's emulating the Wind background ambiance sound from the SotN version, with that static.

NES version sounds like HoD music.
