For those PS3 gamers interested, whether you played the Saturn or XBLA version or not:
http://www.change.org/petitions/sega-bring-guardian-heroes-hd-to-psn#Well petitions don't hurt, Sega really has nothing worth buying lately (and I'm surprised they think bringing back Jet Set Radio is going to sell, when that game is even more frustrating than the hardest Sonic games, plus lack of online modes would cause it to collect dust fairly fast.) Sonic 4 is some chopped up cash grab (still a better attempt than that Werewolf Sonic game,
but come on, in the days when videogames are now being partially sold as DLC,
yes even games like Hard Corps Uprising, people on PS3 will find it refreshing to see Guardian Heroes is a complete videogame that even surpasses the original, while including the original experience, offering the best of both worlds, and provides entertainment that The Simpsons, D&D ToD/SoM, and Castle Crashers can only dream about. )
Also with so many videogames getting dumbed down for casuals, it's nice to see even the Guardian Heroes HD remake still stands form in offering hardcore gameplay without pulling punches. and people can simply level grind to breeze through the stages, each playthrough, raising stats/levels are earned, so the challenge stays fresh.
I would say Guardian Heroes is the one Sega game I would buy, which is interesting because Sega dishes out Sonic games left and right, and ports and collections editions of games people already bought and played before.
Guardian Heroes is still that rare arena few have experienced. Yea 360 is a mainstream console but has anyone really bought 360 for retro Japanese games besides shmups? I'd say it would find a better home on PS3.
Also PS3 people waiting for Dragon's Crown would definitely appreciate what Guardian Heroes has to offer, so I would say it's worth petitioning for, because sitting quiet isn't going to help Sega wake up.
