The punchline isn't that funny, but I thought it was funny because the ghost's message backfired.

Your mom has had more floppies put in her than a Commodore 64!

That actually made me laugh. :D

Someone needs to do an editorial on the concept this entails. How nostalgia flavors things, and how perhaps we also need to stop whining so much. Can you imagine playing some of the games we have now, only when you were a kid? Would have blow us away! But now we often seem to so easily dismiss graphics as being crappy. We all have a right to an opinion, but sometimes I feel we're too picky, especially considering how difficult it really is to make vidoegames, and especially in todays world. Games have become incredibly complicated in comparison to the games of yesteryear.

This actually has some truth behind it. My son seems more attracted to the old school stuff than the new games...then again...he's only five.

I still play the old-school games often. Fire Emblem 4 is a great game even years later.

I remember how Donkey Kong 64 had an arcade game in one of the levels where you could play the 1981(?) version of Donkey Kong. Games have come a long way since 2000, but even back then, the instant 2-decade jump in gaming technology was insane. It's incredible how we've made so many advances in computer technology over the years and everything else has all but stagnated.
