Trying to become the Big Brother of multimedia? Oh, I do hope they're only joking.
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.
^^
You are now reading this in Robert Belgrade's voice.

Then Lords of Shadow 2 just takes a big, semi-solid, smelly, pea-green dump all over everything.

Jesus... How super stupid do they have to be?? The whole notion of the "Big Brother" mentality doesn't work in today's society. If the XBOX consoles are going to have everyone of their kinect devices fitted with this violation of privacy then they are going to lose sales big-time. And not only that but technogeeks will simply change out those cameras so they can't be monitored by Microshaft.

I think Microsoft is planning to license out this tech. But if I were to guess I'd say it's probably their attempt to court content creators into exclusivity deals. Media companies love how extreme Apple's DRM is, Microsoft is just trying to be even more draconian.

Not to say I don't hate this idea, but don't companies patent lots of crazy shit like this? I wonder if this will ever see the light of day.
It's like Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but instead it's Who Wants Fried Chicken? I do.
