I love Metroid.
However, Prime 2 is the only title I did not care to finish.
I made it to... umm... the Light Suit?  I think.

It was weird.  Corruption is awesome but I have a soft spot for Prime 1 and it's great music and great sequence-breaking goodness.

Just gonna drop this while passing by:
Metroid: Net Mission - Norfair
It is precisely because it never cared, that people do care.  It's something which it's lacking, because that which it has, it has lackluster of.

Super Metroid is my all time FAVORITE SNESeobelmont game. I loved Prime, started playing Prime 2 on Game Cube. I have Prime Trilogy on Wii but have not touched it sadly. And jesus neobelmont... I don't generally jack it to anime/cartoons but you might of mad me start a new habit.

I like the series.  My only problem with it is that the newer games are too guided.  Metroid I, II, and super metroid (metroid 3) allowed you to explore more.  Fusion and Other M was incredibly restrictive and guided.
My only problem with the Prime series is that you are in a first person point of view the whole time. The plot is good though.
Other M was a great game gameplay-wise. The writing for Samus was dreadful.  The writers made her look weak. Look at how she was in Fusion. She had emotions and monolouged from time to time, but she wasn't so wishy-washy and didn't take shit from anyone. Plus, that whole thing with her freezing up in front of Ridley should have never happened. I can buy them trying to make her seem more human, but they really overcompensated in that respect.
Behold my power and tremble

Fact: I place most of the blame on Metroid titles for my obsession with botany and excessive vegetation.

HEY NOW

Prime 2 is one my favorite Metroid Titles :P
It's not to my liking. I was stuck in the Sanctuary Fortress for God Knows how long, because I just got tired of Prime 2's shit and couldnt be bothered to find where it wanted me to go. I got lost and said fuck it. each time.

"HEY I KNOW YOU JUST CAME ALL THE WAY OVER HERE, BUT NOW YOU HAVE TO BACKTRACK BACK TO A PORTAL AND MAKE IT ALL THE WAY BACK AGAIN"

finding portals was a pain, and the stingyness on Savepoints was VERY noticable. They accounted for a good chunk of the backtracking and getting lost.

also the environments were nothing to write home about. Short of the Sanctuary Fortress which was the brightest most colorful set of them all.

I did end up finishing it though. Emperor Ing and his final form's shitty core hitbox can go eat a bag of d*cks. seriously.

Anticlimactic Dark Samus fight IMO.

EDIT:
also, the ammo count. fuck the ammo count. It was bad enough the weapons were pretty bland.
