A while back as some of you remember me and some others attempted to make a 3D castlevania original game called the Vampire Blood Chonicles, it kinda fell into developer purgatory, however ive gathered a new team, and this time we're taking on something different, and not an original Castlevania, we're currently remaking Castlevania 64, more to come as we get work done, currently the Vila, hedgemaze,

Death isn't even textured yet, your just seeing his colored model, he will be very, grim when done, multiplayer will feature most of the Cast from harmony of Dispair

I like the idea of an original 3D fan CV game over a CV64 remake.

Why did you abandon the idea of doing something new? That could have been really interesting.

Not that this idea for a remake isn't cool too. I just like original plot lines. Resurrection would have been a cool idea too since that was a 3d cv game we were robbed of.

the reason the original game was put into limbo, the main mapper moved to japan, so the project has been on hiatus, but ive started on remaking the N64 game, although it wont be pure CV64, we're adding to it, updating the mechanics, and trying to bring it to the new generation of players while still keeping true so the older players who played the original will still be like "I remember this"

First release is on a modified IDtech3 engine, im looking into doing a UTengine version and possibly a source version, on a side note for resurrection, I have some dreamcast dev tools I could make an ISO version of the game for Dremacast players.

the team is also looking into making our own 2.5D engine modifications, eg Mirror of Fate, DXC, for games as well

If the 2.5D engine does get completed, it will be released as open source with a castlevania assets pack so anyone could start making their own

not a problem once hes complete and animated, i'll show him off in game, I have the N64 entire keep/clock tower/ stairs to throne room and the 4 rooftop battle areas complete, so I'll showcase death off in his battle stage
