This finally came out, and man, it's awesome. I played a little bit of the pre-build since I contributed to their indiegogo, but I tapered off since I wanted to play the final build without spoiling it for myself beforehand. People who wanted a Castlevania more akin to the atmosphere of III and IV are gonna love it, I think. The graphics are really, really impressive given that it was done by like three people in Brazil who worked on it part-time. The music is good. Maybe not Yamane good, but good nonetheless. It's stage-by-stage, but you get abilities that encourage you to replay levels you've already completed for additional secrets. Pretty much every level is a love-letter to Castlevania games of old. Second stage is my favorite so far.

It's pretty much the only real Castlevania we've gotten since 2008 (until Bloodstained comes out in like 2017 or 2018) and has an excellent downbeat atmosphere, so I encourage everyone to play the fuck out of this.
